Terrible Experience with Tarcus Motors - Beware!
In July 2024, I purchased a used 2010 VW GTI from Tarcus Motors, and it has been nothing but a nightmare. The owner assured me the car was in “good condition,” but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Within the first 130 miles, the engine failed, and the car became completely unusable within a month. None of these major issues were disclosed during the sale or noted on the CarFax report. When I contacted the dealership for help, they refused to accept a return or contribute to repair costs. Instead, they blamed me, saying the problems were caused by my inability to drive a manual transmission an obvious and ridiculous attempt to shift responsibility. Left with no choice, I sold the car to a junkyard, resulting in a significant financial loss.
The customer service was equally disappointing. The staff were unhelpful and dismissive, and it was clear their priority was maximizing profit rather than providing reliable vehicles. Many of their cars seem to be purchased at low prices, minimally maintained, and resold at high prices without proper inspections. If you’re considering buying from them, I strongly recommend paying for a third-party inspection first.
**To make matters worse, after leaving an honest one-star review, the owner repeatedly pressured me to delete it. I reluctantly did, hoping it would lead to better support but nothing changed. This dealership takes zero accountability after the sale.
Tarcus Motors is dishonest and unethical. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a used car. Buying from them is not worth the risk, stress, or financial loss.

I took my car in for a few repairs on 09/25. Ben and his team took good care of my car, fixed all of the issues (and some) with super quick turn around time! They’re definitely a go too! Knowledgeable team. Thanks!

Warning: Avoid Tarcus Motors
I purchased a 2010 VW GTI from Tarcus Motor Company for $7,495. Shortly after the purchase, the engine failed within the first 130 miles. The vehicle became unusable within a month and now won’t start.
The engine failure was not disclosed during the sale, nor was it noted on CarFax. Despite my attempts, the company refused to accept a return or contribute to repair costs. I ended up selling the car to a junkyard, resulting in a significant financial loss.
The customer service was disappointing, and I found the staff unhelpful when addressing these issues. The cars at their dealership appear to be purchased at low prices and sold at much higher prices, and their offered assistance was minimal and not very effective.
If you are considering buying from them, I recommend thorough inspection and caution.

I bought a car here about 3 months ago, Constantin was the salesman who helped me. My new car has been so much fun and when time for maintenance came Constantin went out of his way to come in early so that I could drop off my car. Overall it’s been an easy and inviting experience, something that’s not common with used car dealerships.

Plane old scammers charged me for a new car basically, because they claimed to have put a brand new motor in, told me they’d fix issues I noticed with car before I took it home. Claimed it was fixed but the car didn’t make it home before beginning to smoke. Took forever to get it back for repairs again because they are so non responsive, began to smoke before I even got home again, not to mention check engine light, no drive modes, no traction control, no cruise control, no ac, busted speakers, busted visors ( they fell on me while driving home) spray painted interior panels, more I’m sure I’m forgetting. When I reached out for repairs it took days to get responses and the only replies would be to ask for more photo or video evidence. When I got burnt out on being misled they accused me of being hostile and ghosted me. These are not good people I told them I needed a working car to pick up my disabled clients before I ever gave them a cent and they chose to withhold any issues with the car. These people do not deserve to be in business leaching off honest people. Don’t make my mistake and steer clear of them!

Stay away. They sell used cars for above market value that may have been in an accident, or have mechanical problems. They don’t care, they don’t check. Buyer beware. I’ve noticed the owner will reply to some reviews saying they will work with the customer to try and make any faults right after purchase. That was not my experience. I purchased a vehicle from them. 4 days later, major mechanical problems. They offered no solution, and refused to take the car back. Dishonest. Dishonorable. They care about making a sale, that’s it. Take this information into account before trying your luck.

I was on a trip to Vegas with my truck towing and blew a head gasket, I called Tarcus Motor Company after getting the run around by a local shop in Vegas. They were very helpful and informative over the phone which ended up saving me from spending more unnecessary money, once I was able to get the truck back locally they got me right in and fixed the head gasket issue.When they found out how I mostly use my truck for towing, they were very helpful setting me up with the necessary upgrades to help make sure this doesn't happen again while on the road.I now have it back for a tuner upgrade since I had a good first experience, they won me over on service, honest work, dependability, and time frame of completion.
