We love Melting Pot and visit them a couple times per year. Our dinner tonight with no exception and was very tasty. My only complaint is that service was a bit slow.

Food has really gone down hill, and they are obviously using the cheapest items they can find to boost profitability. Service is excellent, and the atmosphere is nice (although a little dated), but food is so overpriced we will not be returning.

Nico was an incredible server along with the rest of his team. Drinks were delicious (had an old fashioned and an eat a peach - loved the peach!) sooo much food though! Next time I’ll be sure to not eat all day so I have enough room. Only complaint is that tables are a tad too cozy. An excellent event celebrating a birthday!

Five stars isn’t enough but it’s all I’m allowed to give. Our party of 9 was celebrating my daughter being cancer free and Madison (GM) and her team made a great day even better. When we arrived there was a vase of flowers, a card signed by the staff and a squish mellow in the shape of a fondue pot! We were given amazing service by Darius, he deserves a raise, and the food was absolutely delicious. The directions we were given on how to cook were easy to follow and well explained. After letting us know how honored they were to have us they gave us a great complimentary champagne toast, truly unbelievable. They say that they are an experience based restaurant and I can proudly say that a core memory was made for all of us there. Thanks to The Melting Pot for the dinner of a life time!!!

My boyfriend and I wanted to try the Melting Pot because we had heard such great things!! Tyler made our experience!! They were so attentive, nice and understanding that it was our first time!! Their recommendations for mushrooms and green goddess sauce changed our lives. Definitely will be back. Amazing food and even better service!!!

The melting pot has so much potential to be the spot to go before a show at one of the three theaters in walking distance. I want to like it. I want to love it. I love sitting and eating communally with friends and family in a leisurely way. The quality of the food is outdated and meh, our first server was initially not helpful and just kept saying “read the menu”. She improved as she was serving. I would say she was a better server than waitress. There was a waiter whose table side manner was much more polite professional. There wasn't a host posted at the door, so we waited a long time to be seated, we often waited much longer than preferred, and other times they were right on time. We didn't have time for dessert (it takes 2 hrs to get through the menu, and they gave us vouchers for dessert this was great, and much appreciated. My partner warned me the food wasn't good, but we wanted the experience, and we got it, again I want to like it and I want it to be good it's just not the restaurant was quite empty, only one section was being used, but instead of spreading people out they packed us all in the same area, which made things louder and less intimate in that area. I was looking across an empty restaurant wondering why we were jammed into a booth two feet from another party jammed into a booth. We were never asked where we would like to sit, or if we had a preference. They did not have food allergy accommodations, they said it's all just like this. It's not fine dining, but the price is. You don't get the type of servers who are knowledgeable, courteous, accommodating, able to see things from your point of view and be helpful. Restaurants with staff who act like you should know things they know when they experience it every day and you've never been there, or are annoyed when you ask questions are not hiring servers who love their jobs.

Reserved a table for dinner here before a show across the street, and it was a terrific first time experience! The induction plates in the tables are very cool. Delicious food and drink!

We’ve never had a bad experience at The Melting Pot. It’s always been the best experience with the best food. We went today to celebrate our son’s first birthday and the general manager Madison (Sp?) made it unforgettable experience with a “custom” dessert for our little one and ending the night with a teddy bear for both of our boys. Hands down the best dining experience in Portland.

I arrived at the restaurant at 8:55 PM, but the doors were already closed. I called the restaurant and was informed that our reservation had been cancelled due to their 5-minute late tolerance policy. Interestingly, during the call, I pointed out that the time was 8:03, but they simply apologized without offering any solution. We are never going back to this place.
