I can only comment from the perspective of a donor. We donated all of our kitchen cabinets this past summer, and have not received a receipt or any statement regarding the value of that donation. Communication was great until the pick up. After the pick up (which we helped load) we were never provided a receipt and our text messages went unanswered.

Absolutely fantastic place. Workshops for those looking to build, raw materials, used goods like tubs/sinks/doorknobs. In a world where our landfills are growing, stores like this are a godsend

A real gem. I go to the RBC for anything building related before heading to the big box stores. Always something you didn't know you needed before.

I love lumber. And I really love their lumber section. Great place to source existing materials and lumber for any type of project. No need to buy new, thank you Rebuilding Center. I love lumber.

Nice variety of used appliances, lighting, furniture and decorative objects for the home.

I wish I lived in PDX just to be able to shop here. It has great materials for small to bigger building projects and they are all well organized. If you are like me and can’t buy at least go to see some of the creative builds they have there.

I needed a long Douglas fir 2x6. In spite of stocking primarily reclaimed lumber, they had exactly that and they only charged for the usable portion of the board. Excellent selection and service

One of the greatest non-profit retail outlets in Portland. I often stop-by this store to walk around, ask questions and purchase replacement items (doors, windows, fixtures) for our renovation projects. Glazed, wooden framed Sash windows start at a ridiculous $2 each. Not only are there bargains galore the people are just so darn kind.

Great place to source vintage to slightly new pieces for an eco-friendly way to build and decorate. Chock full of everything from lumber and doors to cabinets, appliances, lighting fixtures and hardware, all reasonably priced.

The way they price lumber is so frustrating. They charge each board by ft length depending on its width, but normally lumber is more expensive if it is a longer piece. You can't save any money by buying smaller pieces. They have never ending piles of 4ft long cedar tongue and groove and they charge it same as 20 ft long tongue and groove boards if it is the same width, makes no sense at all. 4ft long boards are almost scrap pieces.

Best places EVER to buy ANYthing. I built a full outdoor kitchen for under $300! Love this place. It's even worth the the drive from Eugene!

This place is amazing. Don't shop big box home improvement stores before going here first. The prices are so good and the people who work and volunteer here are the best.

We found some beautiful tile and knobs for the cabinets. It's worth having a look when you're renovating because using what already exists is better than buying new stuff where possible.

So disappointed with the direction this nonprofit is going. A very nice woman agreed to sell me part of a cabinet set for not much under what a manager had said he would sell the entire set for 2 weeks earlier. It had been there for quite some time and the price was fair. It was a good business decision because she would have likely sold the rest later for a greater profit and it would have given the store more space. Plus it was the kind thing to do because we could not afford the whole set (and apparently it was overpriced any way given that it was not selling). She came to me 15 mins later and said the manager had told her she shouldn't have negotiated that low and would I pay near full price. I overpaid what he had asked her cause I was already committed and felt embarrassed. I have donated and bought items from this location for more than a decade. That week I saw a better set for much less at Habitat for Humanity. I bought the set and donated the one I had previously bought at the Rebuilding Center. Shame on this manager for smearing the otherwise good reputation of this nonprofit.

I've donated good quality building materials a few times. The staff has been very rude. It felt like they were unhappy to have me there and I was a huge inconvenience. Was it because I'm a woman? I don't know. But all the men were very rude.
