An absolutely amazing improvement for a store that used to be too good for its customers now the employees are tripping over themselves to be kind and helpful while the customers are still some of the rudest people collected together in the city of Portland, it's a vast improvement. Also, their prices are as good if not now better than the Kroger chains and New Seasons.

Joe is the best Trader I know! Every time I stop in I trade money for incredible products and unbeatable customer service. Walking out of the store, I always feel like I got the better deal in the trade!

I recently visited Trader Joe's during a road trip with my wife, expecting the usual pleasant shopping experience. Unfortunately, what we encountered was far from it, turning out to be one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. The trouble began at the checkout. While paying with cash, the cashier reacted negatively, making it a point of contention, despite this being a normal transaction method. Moreover, when I attempted to bag my groceries, I was abruptly told I couldn't do so at the counter. This was confusing and frustrating, especially since we had just observed several customers before us bagging their items at the same spot without issue. But the situation escalated when we moved outside to bag our groceries. The manager approached us, and his behavior was shockingly unprofessional. Without understanding the context, he immediately sided with his employee and confronted me aggressively. His demeanor was confrontational and disrespectful, not even allowing me to explain our side of the story. The lack of customer service and basic respect from the manager was astounding. I reported this incident to corporate, as such behavior should not be representative of Trader Joe's standards. This experience was not only disappointing but also alarming, considering the manager's attitude. I urge anyone who shops at this location to be aware of the potential for such unpleasant encounters.

While the Trader Joe’s employees are awesome and the food is great, as we all know. The parking here is a little bit snug and when it hits 3:15, watch out! Some of the most obnoxious drivers I’ve ever seen!

Tiny parking lot, people waiting to park in the line, the place is too small, security lady is trying to take your basket when you leave it for a minute to grab something in the alley. They literally want you to do your shopping in 10 minutes and leave but like everyone knows that people come to Traders Joe’s for experience. I was just pissed when I came back from there, do not recommend

Like most Trader Joe's, the store has a great selection, good prices and helpful staff. But it is obvious the majority of the cars in the lot are from other nearby businesses and housing. The lot is difficult to navigate and you sometimes have to wait quite a while for a space to open up. The parking lot is packed and all of these people not inside shopping. They should police the lot and get rid of these people, it would make a visit less stressful.

Such a huge location, but being a Trader Joe's (always busy) getting in and out can be a pain. I had to pick up a few items during my trip so my trip here was short. There was a lot of hustle and bustle in the market and the staff was friendly.

Great selection! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I finally found the amazing mushroom medley. We were visiting from out of town and don't have a TJ locally. The mushrooms are always sold out at other stores I've been to so I'm glad I finally got them and bought three bags.

We visited this Trader Joe’s lastnight and had quite literally the kindest cashier I’ve ever met. We are living in Portland for only a month and Andrei gave us the best impression of this city strictly because of his genuine kindness. This store should be grateful for an employee like this! We will be back before our month is up.

I love Trader Joe’s for their “2 buck chuck” (Charles Shaw wine that’s only 3.99) and also their many frozen ready-made meals that are always healthy but delicious. They always have great produce and most of it is organic. Their flower bouquets are always very pretty and inexpensive. I love just about everything here I’ve been coming since I was a little kid and now shop here as an adult.

Love Trader Joe's. So many great specialty items and great prices. Try this - pumpkin spice granola bark. Yummy. Parking is tight so plan on it, you might have to park across the street.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Caramel apple mochi is now in stock! I tried one and had to close my eyes and take a moment to say a prayer of gratitude cus these are so tasty. (It tastes like caramel apple candy/liqueur/flavor shot syrup, not fresh caramel apple) Also, I HIGHLY recommend the pumpkin bisque soup. I get three servings of thick, creamy spiced goodness out of a jar. I can't even add anything to my soup bowl since it's so perfect as is. Tonight, I broke a whole carton of eggs in the corner of my cart as I tried pulling my bags out at the register. No less than three team members jumped in to help clean up and replace the eggs and assured my anxious self that it was no big deal and the eggs would be composted or donated. The check out guy also noticed my tortilla chip bag was gunked up with raw egg and had someone swap that out. What a delightfully helpful team! I'm happy shopping here.

One of the last stores to have quality beer at an affordable price. Cashiers generally seem to be cheerful

Great location I’ve been visiting this Trader Joe’s to train my service dog since he was 14 weeks old and they have always been very nice to us. What I assume was a manager or owner even gave us a free bag of treats during the Christmas season once. <3 I’ve also had barely any issues with pets at this location. They’re usually very good at telling what is a legitimate service dog is and keeping pets out unlike some bigger grocery stores. On a sidenote, I noticed there was someone who put a review saying it’s bad to go to this location if you have a service animal and they were denied access. In my experience if your dog is actually task trained, under control, and potty trained you will have no problems.
