The truck was poorly maintained. The engine was acting strange and the truck was leaking fuel.
EDIT: and, two weeks later, having twice e-mailed U-Haul about my concerns with their vehicle, I have yet to receive a response. Not the specific responsibility of this branch, but... yeah. I personally in my own work cannot afford this abysmal level of irresponsibility and poor customer service.

Our original pick up location was unable to fulfill our reservation. The Powell site was able, about an hour later, to provide us with the vehicle we had reserved.

Probably the smoothest, easiest, and cleanest rental experience I’ve ever had at a U-Haul in Portland. I used the mobile app for check in, very quick. When I went inside to pick up the key, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Truck drop off took less than 5 minutes, very efficient.
