The rudest clerks on earth. Two things happen when bank clerks treat customers badly 1. Customers withdraw their money and 2. Customers give bad reviews to warn off potential customers.

A great bank with friendly people Easy parking though it can be challenging to get in and out of the lot during rush hour. So be careful leaving the lot

I recently worked with Nicole Helvey at Umpqua Bank to set up a new account and was extremely impressed by her patience and kindness. Nicole took the time to explain everything and made the process enjoyable. I highly recommend Nicole and Umpqua Bank to anyone in need of banking services. I am so happy to finally be banking outside of the major banks!! Thank you, Nicole, for your excellent customer service and for helping me set up my new account. You are a valuable asset to this location. :)

Their treatment of CD depositors is unconscionable. I am a hard "no" on this whole company. Their investment products offer substandard rates and terms and you can lose money on your CD with fees/inflation factored in.

Worst bank in the world they literally stole $200 from me and refused to give me back my money.

I was lucky Umpqua did business with me at all actually. The treatment I’d gotten from the credit union down the street was abysmal, they actually brought up terrorism and banking as an excuse not to do business with me. On the way home I spotted the Hawthorn branch of Umpqua and decided I didn’t have anything to lose by stopping. Within 20 minutes I was having a few laughs with the manager and walking out with a savings and checking account. They had killer coffee too until Covid. So I say thanks to Craig, Isaiah, and the whole staff at the Hawthorn location, thanks for earning my future business with kindness and professionalism. You’re the best!

I had about 50K at this bank. Due to low interested I liked keeping it at cash deposit. Eventually they started to harass me., saying my account is dormant unless I do this or that. Well, I did that this or that, but I can't even log in anymore. Will be going tomorrow to close the account. These geniuses can't even follow their own rules and are working so hard to get rid of free money. Terrible phone customer service, they can't give me consistent answers. Only one person, at the bank in person, was decent. AVOID THIS CREDIT UNION.

Absolutely love this branch. Even after I moved a little farther away, I keep coming back to this location- the staff is great, always remember me, and put up with my yammering on, haha. One of the tellers even held on to a little bottle of anti-fog mask spray for me after we'd chatted about our glasses getting all foggy. Total sweethearts. There are two other banks within walking distance of my house, but I can't bring myself to switch! Never thought I'd be sentimental about my bank, but here we are.

Is much as I think Umpqua Bank is one of the best commercial banks. I did not appreciate this branch having their doors locked before 5 PM and already counting out and not even acknowledging me at the door today. If this is becoming the norm, even more of our accounts Will be switching to credit unions

Everyone here is incredible. Yes, incredible! If you’re looking to bank local look no further. The location on Hawthorne always makes me feel like family. I’ve also experienced Umpqua throughout the West Coast, and all of the branches carry that same welcoming mentality. Shout out to Christina,& Isaiah at Hawthorne, they always have my back no matter what my financial needs are. Even just walking down the street I find myself peeking in the window to wave hello to them! Never thought I’d be leaving a review on something such as banking, but these humans deserve a shout out. I’ve even tried tipping a couple times, but I guess that’s against the law. Maybe one day ;-)

Do not bank here, no matter the circumstances. No matter what they tell you. It's staff are incompetent, ignorant about basic facts of their own profession and mildly xenophobic. I honestly had a banker argue with me when I told I was hoping to convert a sum of money to Canadian dollars well ahead of a relocation, because the USD is falling. To be clear she didn't argue that it was a bad idea, she argued that the US dollar was dropping at all, 'cause "the USA is the best". (spoiler the USD been in a gentle fall for over a year.) She also asked "Why would you move to Canada?" as if i had said I was planning to move to East St. Louis. Fast forward, we have relocated and need to transfer the proceeds of our house sale up here. I had told the the bank that I was leaving and asked if I needed to arrange anything prior to my move, to allow the proceeds from our house sale to be wired up here. "Nope you're all good" was the assurance. So we cross the border, quarantine for two weeks and we are ready to bring the funds with us for a house purchase. The bank tells me I need to wire funds, I need to sign in person, In. The. USA. To be clear, we are over a year in to a global pandemic and this bank can't figure out how to use online notaries to transfer obvious house proceeds (which we closed on from out of the country) I had to write myself a personal check for enough money to buy a house, which is now sitting on hold, in my Canadian bank for 21 days, jeopardising my closing date AND losing value in the exchange rate rate at about $4,000 /week...because, guess what? The US dollar is falling.

I've been an Umpqua customer for many years. I deeply appreciate the personal touch and being able to talk with an actual person when I have questions or issues.

I really like the folks at the Hawthorne Blvd. branch. A special thanks for the excellent policies re: Covid19. Customers and bankers alike are staying safe.
