Can the hours go back to normal? Why am I paying for worse service and no weekend hours?

After 25 years, had to close my account. Teller did not ask for help kept me waiting for 10 minutes until he asked manager for assistance. Manager said she could not close account until cash transaction cleared. Said I would have to return to sign for closure, Said that was not possible, manager refused to let me sign for closure at the time. Very poor service and both employees were rude and not helpful. The best decision I made to leave US Bank after so many years. I previously worked for them for five years. I would have been fired if I had given that poor level of service. Sad that a once good bank hit the bottom.

U.S. Bank no longer redeems their loyal customer's U.S. Treasury Bonds and now requires that you send the bond to the U.S. Treasury for redemption. This process takes up to 13 weeks to get your monies due to their lack of service these days! Today I was able to redeem a large Series EE bond at the Umpqua Bank Sellwood branch on SE 13th in Portland. The Umpqua Rep was Andrew Sorensen who was efficient, courteous, and extremely helpful. I utilized Umpqua because my primary bank (for the past 60 years!!), U.S. Bank will no longer redeem bonds for their long time customers! It was indeed refreshing to find that there is still a bank in town that provides true customer service and put their customers above corporate profits! I am seriously considering moving all my banking to this small, customer driven Umpqua branch because of this instance and others in the past. Kudos Andrew and Umpqua Bank and shame on U.S. Bank!!!

This ATM never works other than to pull out fast cash. And their bank hours are when I am working so I can never get there.

I've been both a personal and business customer of US Bank for over 20 years. During that time, US Bank has always been great, but in the last year, this branch has let me down many times. I own restaurants in the Portland area, so we deposit cash and need change on a regular basis. Almost every time I or my employees go in, they cannot get they change we need. At first, I was understanding as there was a change shortage. But I know many other business owners. We talk frequently, and the ones who do not bank with US Bank are not having this problems any longer. Several weeks ago, I was told by a branch employee that when their coin counter breaks down, they do not plan on fixing it as it has become too expense. They plan on making their customers roll their own coin if they want to deposit it. I was then told that I should call ahead and order the change I need. No problem. But when I called, I got the run around, and then was told to just come in. Guess what. I came in and didn't get the change I needed. This is a big deal for us. We can't run our business well if we cannot give correct change. It is an annoyance to our customers and our employees, and understandably so. But the last straw was my last visit. It was 7/14 at 10:03am according to my deposit slip. After making my deposit, I asked for what I consider to be a small amount of change, and was told they didn't have it. Standing right behind the teller was, I'm assuming, a new manager. I was annoyed, and since he was standing there, I decided to let it be known. I ask how am I supposed to do business if I can't get the change I need? I'm paying for this service, so I think I have the right to expect it. (I pay about $125/month in banking fees). The manager, looked at me and said, "What do you want me to do? I order the change, and I don't get it? I replied. "I'm tired of hearing that excuse. Everyone else I know who doesn't bank with US Bank isn't having this problem. I feel like US Bank is telling me we don't want your business. You are too much of a hassle. I feel like I need to take my business elsewhere." And this is how he replied. "Maybe you should do that." I just shook my head. In addition to his total disinterest in helping in any way, all the while, there are other people waiting in line, and the only teller was helping me. He was just standing there. Is he too good to stoop to helping customers? What do you think those customers think when, they are waiting in line, and there is a bank employee standing right in front of them doing absolutely nothing. We have a rule in our restaurants. When customers comes in, all employees stop what they are doing and help the customers. Not at this branch. I do want to say that the teller helping me, who has helped me several times, is outstanding. Frankly, she should be the manager, not the guy standing around doing nothing. I think it is time to find a new bank.

For the first time ever I felt unwelcome at this bank. The Asian girl at the front was INCREDIBLY rude. I cashed my check and told her that I would be right back as I had to run over to my job and grab my other paycheck and she said is there anything else and looked at me as if I were less than gum on the bottom of her shoe. Terrible way to do business and I’ll be taking my business across the street to chase because of her rudeness.
