You're understaffed & that is not the person working the counters fault, it's not even the on site managers fault. The employees are doing their job efficiently, so if you manage post office sites & read this, the solution isn't a pep talk with your front liners about charisma & attitude. You're understaffed. being understaffed is not something your employees on the clock can change within their performance. Give everyone a break & put one more person on the schedule

They don’t mention that certain Canadian provinces aren’t included in their express shipping. Imagine being able to ship express to New York but not New Jersey. Baffling. Staff was nice & helpful & smart.

The people who work here must be seriously underpaid and overworked to be acting the way they do.. take the extra few minutes and go to the other usps for a better experience.

Management works their carriers too hard. They often force them to work 60+ hour weeks, and the pay isn't worthy of the physical labor and mental stress they have to deal with on a daily basis. Did you know that in some countries it is illegal to force someone to work more than 40 hrs per week? Their system is broken and they wonder why no one wants to work there. This review is for every Portland USPS station.

These guys are over charging customers for the deminsional girth of your package. They just claimed a box I just shipped had a girth of over 140". Ups just measured the actual girth at 114". They are ripping everyone off!!!!

Positives: roll of packing tape available free to community, rather than forcing people to buy a whole roll.Negative: woman working the counter refused to ship a package because she misunderstood USPS policy on items with lithium batteries. She referred to a printed guide that she had been given, but she was clearly misreading the text. She refused to listen when I read actual policy to her from USPS website. I took my package to the next USPS to the north, where a friendly and knowledgeable postal worker shipped it, because he both knew and understood USPS policy. This woman lacked the knowledge, understanding, and humility to do her job correctly. I’m thankful I’m privileged to be able to simply drive to a better station; this could be a real hardship for some.

The woman at the counter (Apr 18 4:15pm) seemed determined to reject the package and refused to listen when I told her it needed to remain upright. She flipped it over right after I said it needs to remain upright (it also has "this side up" written on every side). She rejected the package anyway, acting the whole time as if she didn't want to pick up the package saying multiple times how big it was. Incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful, causing a huge inconvenience for me. If you don't want to lift boxes, don't work at the post office!

The mailman at this post office refuses to deliver to our business - he just sends everything back. Terrible terrible post office service here.

Not sure what Martonio’s problem is, but as soon as I walked in he had an attitude. I needed to ship a box and already had the label printed, just had to tape it to the box. He slapped down a piece of scrap paper and sharpie a little too aggressively and went “write down your return address” in truly the worst tone.I work customer service and have for years, I understand the toll it can take on you, but he had a bad, hostile attitude from the moment I walked in that was completely unwarranted. Hope his week gets better or he finds a job better suited for him.

I love the Post Office. They come to your house every day, or six days a week, the employees are generally helpful when you have a question, and they know all the regulations and the quorks of the system. Although I don't understand why my postman doesn't take the mail I leave at the box. Are they required to take that mail or do they do it as a favor?

A nice guy at this post office helped me get a package delivered to a friend that was about to be returned to sender! (due to an error I made on the address). Didn’t get a chance to say thank you, so wanted to write a review here instead.
