I really hate to leave a bad review, but the staff at this post office counter are horrible. I have an Etsy business and I’ve been shipping padded envelopes all over the US for more than a decade. These staff members have required that I send these envelopes certified mail. This is not a requirement. This cost more money because they don’t know postal rules. Every other post office in the US in multiple states allows padded envelopes to be sent with a tracking number. When I tried twice to do this at this location, both of the counter people were rude, surly, and dismissive. They gave me a take it, or leave it attitude, and would not even consider listening. Even other reviews talk about these unfriendly and grumpy counter people. Really, if you hate your job this much and don’t like working with people, then find another job, please!

Well, ya know, it's the USPS. It's not a restaurant or a nail salon. They don't work for tips, and it's a hard job, even when you don't have to deal with the public. But who else is going to take a hand addressed letter from a 12 year old in Brooklyn, PDX, and deliver it to, idk..say... Perth. For $0.45? Anyone??..that's right, nobody but the USPS. This is our little neighborhood post office, and I, for one, appreciate their hard work. Also, I've never had an issue or seen anyone have an issue here at this particular branch. Smells fine, too.

I came here the other day because I recently forwarded my mail, and it got messed up somehow.
This man with a beard addressed me and kept cutting me off and talking over me without letting me finish explaining my issue. He then gave me false information about what was going on with it which I just figured out through another post office.
I will go out of my way to avoid this place. If you don’t like your job or serving people, you should probably not work with the public.

Tidy little post office on the edge of the neighborhood. Happy to have something so close by. They're only open M-F so that's a little disappointing but otherwise it's a nice little spot.

The little gem of a station is just off SE Powell at SE 14th. It is a gem, often overlooked in favor of the larger Brooklyn Station on SE 7th. The result is generally shorter lines (if there are any at all). During the last couple of visits, there is one person "holding down the fort." It's better to have your packages securely taped prior to sending them, only because there are *occasional* shortages of packing supplies you may otherwise have a last-minute need for.

Paying for a post office box every six months and they have posted hours that the lobby is open on Saturdays from nine to noon.It is not open on Saturdays as they have posted which is disappointing because I don’t have access to my PO Box.
