Very poor experience at the Creston Post Office. I mailed an international package that never made it to the recipient or back to me, even though I paid over $30 for postage. The tracking shows it has been looping for weeks.
When I asked for help, Mr. Benke closed my case while the package was still in transit, claimed it was “unclaimed” in Spain without showing any proof, and refused to accept my refund request form. Even though I provided documentation from Correos and USPS’s own refund policy, he dismissed my request.
Unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to follow USPS procedures. This was an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience.

I just don't understand why my packages always stop here and it never leaves till days and days later. It's pathetic and complete incompetence..

Not friendly customer service. Even when slow with no wait, they seemed annoyed to help.

Home delivery is terrible, lost packages, I constantly have to go to the post office to find mail that the carrier doesn't want to deliver.

Middle aged asian lady at front counter complaining about every single thing about my package that I’d like to send out. Had a bone to pick with me because it was an international address. Pointed out I was using bubble wrap and said “why are you using bubble wrap to mail a letter” after I had explicitly told her that it was a notebook that I didn’t want to get creased. Had the completely opposite attitude with the white lady before me. Complained that the form I was filling out costed 2-3 dollars to print when I was using it to fill out the address . I don’t know what piece of paper with ink is 2-3 dollars. Completely unprofessional behavior.

Trying to get a hold of someone on the phone is worse than standing in the line at Dmv

Very unorganized said they were holding my mail when I went to pick it up nobody knew where it was I even had the card for proof of the date it would be sent back manager was no help she was completely rude and evasive I don't understand why people work places that they're not happy or don't like the company they're working for
it was a bad experience my mail is gone nobody was reprimanded
And it's just too bad for the consumer we all just have to tolerate and except whatever we get you keep raising the prices of stamps and everything else but the service is going downhill consistently what's the problem

This place sucks. Rude and incompedent clerks. Always having mail issues and have the same lame excuse. Get it together. Such a miserable place to visit. Often lines out the door w/ limited services available. Pathetic.

Clerk was not friendly or understanding to someone not familiar with all the procedures. I understand it’s a nuisance but as a someone paying for a service, its disappointing to leave the post office feeling attacked by an employee.

Full disclosure, I used to work at the Postal Annex on Hawthorne so I have experience with shipping and mailing.
I decided to try out this post office because it’s closest to my house, but I don’t think I will be going back. I feel so bad for the ONE employee who was attending the front desk. There was a line out the door at 1:30 PM on a Tuesday, so I can’t imagine what it’s like at busier times. It is just cruel to the employees to not properly staff an essential business such as this. At my former place of work we always have *at least* two people on the registers during peak business hours.
Unfortunately I was not able to mail the one small thing that I had to send, and will be taking my business elsewhere :(

This location consistently fails to provide an origin scan on outgoing parcels. It does not matter which class of mail you choose. As a customer, how do you prove the package was ever sent? You can’t. So, if something is lost, you will never win your insurance claim. This problem has persisted for years at this location, which speaks to a culture of ineptitude fostered by the post master there, where cutting corners is the norm.

there wasn't a line when I went and the person was very nice but it would help SO MUCH if they had automatic doors, or at least a button that would open them for you, for folks using mobility devices and folks just carrying big heavy awkward boxes into the post office
