The worst customer service. I wonder why they have 2 stars. Train your employees to have a better attitude and know how to talk to people.

Michelle is such a mean and horrible person!!! She makes you feel dumb and stupid. Doesn't care how much time people spend there. She feels so powerful buy just simply making dropping a package like a hell! Grumpy and unhappy! Needs to be definitely trained on what customer service is in USA!!!!! Not sure why she is still employed by Usps if every single negative comment is about her being rude and mean to people!!!!

I've never had a single problem with the office for USPS at 3850 SE 82 Ave. Of course, I try to be as positive a person as I can so my transactions go smoothly. I'm hoping the other complaint ones don't go in on Christmas Eve or trying to rush them through what they want because they are late for dinner or a plane. That's just plain dumb. Try having a smile on your face and accept it and to your best to be nice. It is reciprocal. Give grumpy you'll get grumpy.

Somebody fire Michelle already. Makes every single thing I have to do at the post office a huge issue. She makes this post office a nightmare.

I took an unopened package to return to sender, because it was addressed to someone else. The clerk pealed the label and the tape off and then said she couldn’t accept it bc it was open. But she opened it? I was trying to make sure someone who accidentally ordered something to the wrong address still got their order, but it seemed like this USPS worker was trying to get on her lunch break…

I have been going to this USPS for over two years now. The low reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. This store was vandalized by people with so many windows that the entire store (all glass windows floor to ceiling) has to be covered with plywood. The workers at this USPS literally had to work in a plywood box for almost a year. Every single time I use this store there is always a line due to how large of a community they service. No less, this staff services people from around the globe due to SE diverse population and it often takes extra time due to language barriers. Despite all of this, I have had nothing but exceedingly pleasant and informed interactions. I’ve watched the staff also work extra hard to accommodate individuals and when the staff can’t meet a need they always refer to the next best option. I am very impressed with this staff and I would not avoid using this store due to the bad reviews.

I encountered the infamous Michelle. everyone's right, shes terrible. I had explained that it was my first time sending a package and she made me feel stupid for not knowing which packaging to use. I got in and out of that line 3 times because they sent me to the other counter to package my items and hand write the addresses. which brings me to another thing- I had pre paid for labels ready to print on my phone and they didn't let me print them. so I had to pay an extra $16 for shipping when it should've been free. I hope their windows get smashed and again.

A package i sent internationally came back to me empty and the box was pretty much destroyed. After trying for a year to get my money back for the item, I gave up finally after they told me that the Post Office I sent it from didn't fill out a damage report for it. So I am out a skateboard. I had to even coax the postal worker at the counter to refund my money for postage. That was the last time I will ever send anything postal service. Not that it matters to them, but you see, if they would have at least given me the amount I paid for the skateboard (of which I had a receipt) I would have been fine. Instead, they didn't do their job and didn't care about what they were responsible for.

Self-service kiosk didn't print out a lake for my parcel. Went to the window for help, but even tho i heard people in the back room, no one came to help us. They didn't answer the call at the window, so I said I'd figure it out the next day. Well, that ended up being wrong because it was a saturday, and they were closed. So messed up. Now it's lost in the mail service, and I can't even track it. It's been 2 weeks now, and it should have been here or returned to the post office or sender. Won't ever use this post office again.

I used a prepaid label for a return and they mailed the package to me, instead of the business in New York, with no explanation. The other package I had to mail was 2 day express delivery and it hasn't left Portland in 6 days. Not like these people are rude it just seems like USPS is incapable of doing a half decent job with anything.

:^/ The federal 800 number closes at 3:30 PM Central time, hours before the 5:00PM local time. The number listed should be the local one, that the people in the building in question answer personally.
