“I’ve been a loyal and faithful client at PD&C for almost a decade, and I simply can not express how impressed and grateful I am to the staff, techs, and doctors at this practice. The level of care is *exceptional*- I had a cat that suffered a nearly fatal coyote attack, two dogs with naproxen poisoning, and at least one round of intestinal parasites… and they’ve just taken the best care of my pets.

The front desk staff has become almost an extension of our family- Lita & Karla are so welcoming and warm- they remember details about our family and feel like they are invested in our whole family health. Drs Weinstein, Deremer, and Mallov are *exceptional* in their field. I trust and value this veterinary practice, and consider them friends. Very, very grateful for PD&C, and hope to count them among our most trusted providers for many years to come.

Update: we saw Dr Mallov recently for a diagnosis on my dog’s hip- he was SO gentle and knows my dog (blind/ arthritic/ and quite opinionated) so he and the tech (Rob- we love Rob.) were careful to treat him respectfully and keep him safe (dog can jump unexpectedly off of high surfaces).

I was pleased that my dog was comfortable and accommodating to the checking, and didn’t nip or grumble. We got a great diagnosis that won’t break the bank, and is a program that will both support our dog’s needs now and prepare us for possible concerns down the road. Our peace of mind is critical, and I SO appreciate that this practice won’t pressure you with a “hard sell” on services. They give excellent council, and really and truly care for our pets and… us owners too. I will always, always be grateful for this amazing veterinary practice in the heart of Kenton.”

“I switched to wildwood from a very long care with rose city vet since 2020. I was not happy w/ my dr/drs there when it came to my dogs senior care. they just kept giving me the same medications and hard to see one dr. Wildwood vet Dr. johnson listen to us carefully and had great solutions and if one thing didn’t work she offered another.
my senior pup I believed lived extra longer because of their care and suggestion of medications. He was not in pain and although I wished he lived little longer, I believe he left when he needed to and after my dog passed wildwood sent me a sweet sympathy card. I appreciate the detail and care. I will be going back to have them care for my 2nd pup. Thank you for great vet care with presto & many more to come! It is not easy to find trusted vet care.”

“Hi all, my boyfriend and I are here in Portland visiting his family and we have a foster pup that ate a corn cob, at the time we did not know what it was. Dr. Bruno recommended giving IV fluids to see if it would move the obstruction farther down and hopefully get his body to digest it. But with no success the rescue that saved him from a major kill shelter in Az decided to do surgery. Dr. Bruno did an amazing job with surgically removing the corn cob and sowing him back up. We are so thankful for him seeing us and taking on our situation. He is an incredibly busy doctor and was getting ready to leave town but saw us anyways. He is also a local vet which we love to support the local community. I called at least 10 other Veterinarian hospital's and it seems as though Portland has been taken over by coperate Veterinarian hospitals. Their prices for surgery start between $3,500 & go as high as $12,000 for just removing an obstruction. That is absolutely ridiculous and it seems as though they are just taking advantage of the general public because once it becomes all corporate people will have no where else to go. This Veterinarian is considerably less expensive than the corporate hospitals. Support this local Vet they are wonderful. Their staff are all great, very caring and also very helpful. Pat is the Vet Technician that did a great job with our foster boy. The other technician are also all wonderful. I can not say enough positive things about this local Veterinarian hospital.”

“I took my elderly cat in for her first appointment here today and I am so happy I did. The staff was cordial and Dr. Castle was very professional and helpful. The last vet my cat went to was not nearly as helpful and seemed to be more concerned with money than care of the animals, even going so far as to say they may not be the cheapest, but I should remember that you get what you pay for. While I understand that to an extent, I believe that was not the case with our now ex-vet clinic. I would happily pay the prices of the previous clinic for the care from this one.
Portland Animal Clinic was also able to give me her medicine right away unlike the other vet who sent me to a specialty pharmacy that was quite a ways away. I am ecstatic to continue my best friend's care with Portland Animal Clinic and Dr. Castle.”

“We moved to Cathedral a few years ago on the recommendation of a friend. We've seen several of their veterinarians and techs in that time. There's so much positive to say about our care at Cathedral. We mostly see Dr. Jenny - she's the best. She makes such a fuss over our pets, which I'm sure she does with all the dogs and cats but it makes us feel special. We've had some ups and downs with our pets over the years and she's always steered us in the right direction. Very grateful to have her. We also love the techs. We've worked with MJ most recently when our kitten was sick and MJ just seems so delighted to see her. I think they might love our pets more than we do LOL. I was in the clinic last week and one of the front desk staff, Libby, really likes dog. She drew the cutest picture on a sticky note that was an absolute likeness of our girl. It's now framed in our house. Libby also had a magic trick a few visits ago to get our dog to stop crying in the waiting room; she gave her a little bit of spray cheese on a tongue depressor and that kept our dog occupied while we waited to be roomed.

Prior to surgery, my husky had been diagnosed with cancer and both of us were thrown headfirst into a whirlwind of confusion. The consult at BluePearl Pet Surgery was the first time any professional provided a concrete and clear explanation of what was happening and what the best course of action moving forward should be. They were also the first of eleven surgical/oncology offices to actually return my call, which was very appreciated given the aggressive nature of the cancer. Their quick turn around directly contributed to much more quality time with my pup. I was also truly impressed with Dr. Cioffi and her team. They were incredibly informative, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Thank you all”

“My beloved Malinois/German Shepard mix is highly anxious with unfamiliar places/people.
I decidedly to try Wildwood because they're close to my residence, and ,because they have the facilities to do not only basic wellness care but some surgeries as well.
I was concerned about my dogs mouth/teeth and it turns out she'll need surgery to remove 1-2 infected molars.
I was so grateful that the vet took the time to allow my fur baby to let's her surroundings and even let her check out the instruments before using them in the exam.

“This review is long overdue. I have been a client of Animal dermatology for many years now. I have two older cats (siblings from the same litter) who unfortunately got the short end of the stick when it came to a unique case of allergies. I’ve had cats my whole life and this was the first time I’ve ever experienced cats with allergies. There were non-stop repeats of allergy flare ups that came with red, inflamed, and itchy skin in addition to mass hair loss on my cats. Unfortunately the treatments from our regular vet (who are great) were no longer having the same healing effects and the skin issues started to return in shorter intervals from the prior treatment. Our vet then referred our cats to Animal Dermatology. After some limited trial and error with Animal Dermatology, our cats have been really stable with the treatments provided by this clinic. Even with the occasional flare up, these vets have provided the necessary, temporary treatment to get them back to baseline. I will not sugar coat the cost, as this clinic is expensive. With that being said, the cost makes sense as these are specialists who truly are experts in their field. I cannot thank Animal Dermatology enough for not giving up on my cats and their difficult cases. Because of Animal Dermatology, my cats have been able to live longer, comfortable lives. Thank you!”

“Laura, Ella and Dr Klau were all so sweet and kind to our 3 blockheads on our most recent visit (as staff always are on every visit, shout out Eric!); being afraid of the vet isn’t a thing for them, they love going to visit and being spoiled with treats. We also appreciate that appointments are on-time and efficient from check-in to check-out and follow-up calls with lab results are timely and thorough as well. While Pacific Veterinary Hospital is not the closest vet to us, it’s worth the drive for the trusted care our dogs receive.”

“We were unsatisfied with our previous vet never being able to see our cats and their prices weren’t aligning with the level of care our cats got, so we decided to try VCA. Within the first visit, we knew it was a much better match! The vets are personable and the staff are genuinely invested in our pets. They have much more open availability than our last clinic which was also called a “hospital” yet took no emergency visits, leaving us high and dry in our biggest moments of need with our pets. We will only use VCA from now on!”

“This vet is amazing! I have been going here for upwards of three years and wouldn't go anywhere else. The prices are medium but you won't get as good of a vets and vet assistances for the price anywhere else. I have two cats with very different personalities. One is a huge and I mean huge (healthy weight in his prime was around 16 to 17 pounds hes old now and it's still 11 to 10 pounds!) The other is Itty bitty (6 ish pounds full grown) and I mean it her last owner sucked. Not only did they help me get the small one to a safe weight to spay her but they also where the only vet I trusted to spay her. The small one has had so many problems over the years and they have helped with every one. My large one use to get treated very poorly at old vets I went to cause he looks very intimidating. These vets are so nice to him and relise he just looks scary but is a huge softy. These are the best vets in the area in my opinion and are more than trust worthy with your fur babies.”

He and his wife are wonderful people. He'll be retiring soon and we are so sad, but also very grateful for everything he's done for us over the years. We'll never find another vet like him. “I'm not sure we have dealt with Dr Gilbert... We use Viking Veterinary and have seen several vets, but last year or so mostly just two of them.

But I guess maps offered to route me to a doctor instead of the whole practice so now (as usual) Google Maps keeps nagging me to do a review. It becomes easier to just do one to shut it up.”

“I moved to Portland a couple of years ago and did tons of research before choosing a vet for my senior cat, Sir Dudess Louise VonLichtenstein. I landed at Buckman Veterinary Clinic based on the glowing reviews.

They are certainly not the cheapest vet in town, but I truly believe in my heart that you get what you pay for. I would go hungry before taking my baby to a different vet.

Everyone on their staff is kind, caring, and a joy to interact with. Dr. Johnson is an angel, and Em is incredibly gentle and patient with my dramatic little Dude. Their responsiveness and follow-ups are impeccable, and they explain everything in so much detail that I never have follow-up questions.

I have been a pet parent for over 20 years, and this is by far the best veterinary practice I have ever visited. Do not let the few negative reviews scare you away. If you want the best care for your fur babies, this is the place to go.”

“I adopted a new kitty with a strange, mystery bloated belly. Dr. Jawahir took great care and was extremely thorough in investigating Aoife’s belly issues. Turns out she is just fat, and has a weird little body! I appreciate the kindness and attention from all the staff at Powell Vet. “The care here can’t be beat. Dr. Barkley is the best vet I have ever seen— so thorough, knowledgeable, caring, and invested in the health of each member of our multi-cat household. One of our seniors had a bad reaction to a steroid injection from her previous vet, and we’ll be forever grateful that Dr. Barkley immediately clocked the problem and saved her life. Shout out to Yara and Linnea, who are equally excellent! We love this clinic and trust them completely.”

“The staff at Fremont Vet is always kind, concerned, and thorough, and makes every effort to see my pets as quickly as possible if needed. The Doctor or a staff member always follows up to see if any treatment has had the desired effects. Because there are a number of doctors at Fremont it makes it much easier to get an appointment when really needed. My cat and 2 dogs have been going to Fremont Veterinary Clinic for 6 years.”

“Fantastic standard of care, vet tech Charissa and veterinarian Dr. Thompson are phenomenal. They are friendly with owners but also show love (and tough love) to the pets. By tough love, I mean that in a good way!

Pricing was WAY better than I’ve experienced at other vets throughout the Portland and Seattle areas. No price gouging or pushing of non-critical tests/medications/vaccines. For once I don’t feel taken advantage of, and I can truly trust what the staff are telling me about the care & condition of my animals.

“I cannot say enough positive things about this clinic. After many poor experiences and inappropriate diagnostics elsewhere -- Dr. Shuler (and his assistant Mary) really treat your pet as their own. Further, the team knows how to give multiple financial options and doesn't fuss when wanting scripts sent to Costco.

Pet care is complicated and I appreciate their attention to detail, non-judgmental stance, following through when they say they will, and their calm and thorough approach to my boys needs. Even when I'm losing my mind days before his surgery -- they deal with me with such grace and compassion.

It's important to note that this practice is actually locally owned. It's not owned by private equity or otherwise. The person in charge is... Dr. Shuler. This was important to us in the care of our pets.”

“I have been taking in stray cats since 2022, and have brought them all to halsey east. Dr Vockert and Dr Vidos are great. Very affordable for veterinary care, whether it's surgery, prescription, or just checkups. I have actually found that getting prescriptions here is cheaper than online, which is very convenient. They have a great team that is clearly very passionate about their work. I would not go to any other clinic.”

This week, age and a rapid decline in health finally forced me to put my dear kitty to sleep. The clinic was able to fit me in on short notice, as my cat was in pain. The staff were very kind and patient, and my cat passed as peacefully as I could have hoped. Two days later, I was surprised to receive condolence flowers from the clinic—an entirely unexpected act of kindness. It’s rare to find any kind of health provider, for humans or animals, that takes the time and care that Two Rivers has shown. Anyone needing a vet would do well to visit this clinic.”
