Best wine shop in town. The new proprietor, Scott, is incredibly knowledgeable and eager to help, even with a wine novice like myself. His prices are reasonable and selection is well-curated. I won’t buy wine from anywhere else. It’s also a great gathering place for friends, especially at the weekly Friday tastings.

When I walked in with an aged birthday gift certificate from friends that love this spot, Scott was attentive, informative, and friendly. The new owner in succession after Bruce.

I went in. "I want to buy a gift for a newly married friend: a bottle that'll be good in 1 year, a bottle that'll be good in 2 years, and a bottle that'll be good in 5 years." With that inspiration, we were off on a conspiratorial tour of their selection. What we ended up with was raves from my newly married friend.
Friday night tastings are a delight--and a bargain--and I always end up leaving with a bottle or three of discoveries.
I love going to the Friday nights with my friends, and i love having this resource in my neighborhood! Now if I could just stop losing the punch cards....

Bruce runs a marvelous shop! He has wine tastings every 2 Fridays and some in store tarting on Saturday. He selects wines which are very good and at a price point which is ok for many customers. That's a tricky thing wine shop owners try to do. Some folks done like that. I do because it's a selection, curated by the owner so you're getting high quality wines, great producers, but somehow being cost concious too! Bruce does it very well!

I found Vino when I was looking for a shop that sold Spanish Vermut. Vino was clean, organized and had a good selection. I chose the Lustau Vermut Roja which we shared with our son. Drinking it reminds us of our trip to Barcelona.My son brought us a couple of bottles for Mother's Day. He ordered it online from the shop. He was able to swing by and pick it up on his way out of town. We are pleased with our experiences and will continue to patronize Vino. Thank you to all the informative reviews that were posted. I look forward to stopping by for the Friday night wine tasting when we are in town.

Vino has been my favorite wine shop in Portland for more than 15 years - at whatever address! Great selection, reasonable prices, and Bruce and his team are responsive and professional and knowledgeable.
