The pharmacy is constantly closing unexpectedly and screwing up our prescriptions. Totally garbage service. Unacceptable as people need their medications to live and treat health conditions obviously. What a joke.

I just saw them turn a girl away who needed life or death medication because the pharmacy couldn’t be open for 5 more minutes to help her. No service here. I will be boycotting this place until the pharmacy is open 24/7 like it should be. People need their medicine and work schedules conflict with limited times.

Just hung up after being on hold for 30 minutes. Long waits in person as well. They are severely understaffed.

I would give zero stars if that was an option!! This pharmacy is TERRIBLE!!! I'm still on hold....it is 2:30pm, I was placed on hold at 9:10am!? They second guessed my Dr's written Rx that was submitted over 2 weeks ago. It was finally ready, 4 days ago. Which I had to check for, on line, after 2 wks of daily checking, they didn't notify me. After I waited in line at the store for almost an hour, paid for the medication, went to the pharmacist for her "medical" advice... she wouldn't give the medication to me, and wanted to double check if the Rx was written correctly!!? It was. Now here I sit listening to their robotic hold narrative every 3 seconds...FOR literally HOURS!!!!! I just go SO excited because it was MY turn, it started ringing...and ringing, and ringing, and..... ringing.... THEN IT LITERALLY HUNG UP ON MEEEE!!!!??I had been on hold for 5 1/2 hrs...to get hung up on. F this PLAAACE omgggg

Prescription support at Walgreens is unacceptable. The online experience is unreliable and far from self-serve. The phone/live experience with Walgreens pharmacies in the Portland area have been equally frustrating. More often than not, there is a mix up with the prescription, the refill, or the insurance and the order is not ready when I pick up. When I've been forced to resolve problems by phone directly with the pharmacy (instead of online which would be preferable) I have routinely been put on hold for more than an hour. Worse, once I talk to someone live, I've rarely been helped - honestly, someone told me they were working with over 300 orders and couldn't provide any context to why my rx was delayed. This was after holding over an hour for a live person. I get understaffing and have withheld providing a negative review so as not to be unfair. But my experience with CVS has been so positive in comparison with Walgreens that I feel compelled to share.

The pharmacy is the worst. They do not answer their phones, always have a long line, and are frequently unexpectedly closed.

I called from Dallas Texas inquiring about a particular product. The phone was answered in a timely manner and the associate answered my question quickly. I now know I can get this product at Walgreens when we arrive in Portland next week.

This Walgreens pharmacy is very very slow. I had a prescription called in on a Wednesday and it want ready till the following Tuesday. I do not recommend this location at all. It has also been closed a lot (3 times last week- all day closure).

Absolutely the worst performing pharmacy I've ever experienced. Their drive thru lane takes twice as long as they usually have one staff member covering both the drive thru and inside counter. Now they've changed the hours from those published. I have been there 5 times in the last 2 weeks during published hours only to see the "no pharmacist on duty" sign proudly displayed. I cannot change to Fred Meyer fast enough!!!

I’ve been trying to get important medicines refilled for almost two weeks and the pharmacy is closed no matter what time of day I get there. No explanation. Nothing. I feel terrible for all the patients dealing with the same thing.

They refused to sell me a covid self-test at the drive-thru and insisted I come inside to buy one. They wouldn't even give me a mask to wear while coming inside even though I was worried I might have active symptoms. I struggle to imagine how they could have handled that worse!

IMO, pharmacies in general (everywhere/anywhere) across the US have been in a staffing deficit since the onset of Covid. That, coupled with a shortage of many drugs, and the ongoing issues with the insurance industry has turned the entire pharmacy process into a nightmare. I've had my share of spending hours wasted on hold, returning to the pharmacy only to find a RX was not filled for one reason or the other,etc. But it's not the fault of the poor workers behind the counter. Can't imagine has complicated & frustrating it is for them. So many good people left the industry due to the problems beyond their control & being on the receiving end of everyone's loss of patience. I have seen a positive turn at this location's improved efficiency & staffing. Keep it going Walgreens Barber Blvd location, it's noticeable!!

I’ve been on hold on the phone with many businesses, some for hours on end and I’m usually ok with just keeping it going and doing something else, but this the first time I wanted to throw my phone into the wall. Stop telling me with that static voice that you’re sorry your staff is on a call with someone else every 5 sec! If their tactic is to make me hang up so they don’t have to deal with my business, they’re very successful.
