After waiting a week for my prescription to be filled, I call the pharmacy. I speak to a tech who assures me it will be ready this evening and they will text me. No text. No phone call. Nothing. I call the next morning to find out that the med is out of stock and they were just not going to tell me. Real professionals at the Walgreens on Holgate. I hope no one dies because they can't be bothered to speak with customers. I'll never shop there again--awful.

Absolutely horrible service. I came for a passport picture and the employee (the one with blue hair) was irritated and rude to me for absolutely no reason. Don't offer a service if you don't want to help a customer.

The fact that I was clearly pregnant and denied to use the restroom when they have is ridiculous on top of that the cashier was not friendly and didn't even say thank when I left I had to tell her when paying with food stamps the bag fee is removed before she did it even after I put my rewards in

For some reason this pharmacy is always either closed during the hours they're supposed to be open or their "phone lines are down" according to their automatic voice service and I'm unable to refill my prescription. I am on my second day without taking my medication because I haven't been able to get a hold of them in the past 5 days. I left messages with zero response and I can't ever get anyone to pick up the phone. I'm probably going to have to go to the store in-person to get someone to talk to me. I've had issues with this pharmacy in the past too-- a few months ago I received messages about my prescription being ready for pickup and then was told when I arrived that my medication wouldn't be ready for another 2 hours. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but hopefully this will save someone the trouble of choosing this pharmacy for their prescriptions. My service in-store with the cashiers is usually great, it's just the pharmacy.

As of Friday, 6/23/23, both the Retail Side and the Pharmacy are open. The store was temporarily closed for 5 days. Last Monday an Associate told me that it was due to a Computer System Malfunction, and that they're currently working on the problem. But I spoke to Walgreens Corporate and was told that the store was Temporarily Closed due to a lack of adequate staff in the Pharmacy. This is much more believable as Retail POS (Point Of Sale) systems rarely go down. I worked in Retail for years and the longest time our System was down was 2 hours. Corporate will move heaven and earth to bring a store back online. I believe that Walgreens Corporate shut the store's computer system down until they could bring additional staffing into the Pharmacy.Currently this location has an opening for a Pharmacy Tech. They will train the candidate, help them get the certificate, and work with them to become a Lead Tech over time. This is a great career, but no one wants to work nowadays. So the position remains vacant.I've been a customer here for over 15 years. This store is an integral part of the neighborhood. Among others, it serves a population of older adults that rely on it for OTC Medical supplies (Tums, Alcohol, Bandages, etc.) and grocery items like coffee, frozen meals, bread, and snacks. They carry all the regular brand items like Folgers, Hostess, etc, that Trader Joe's doesn't stock. Support the store, their manager Carlos, and all the pleasant associates. Pray for the Pharmacy.

Been shopping here about ten years now. This Walgreens is within easy walking distance. Quality has been going up for the past few months. The Store Manager, Carlos, has done a tremendous job with his team. They have no control over the pharmacy though. Prices are generally high, but if you use your Rewards Card the prices are good. Lately the shelves are stocked very well with a good selection. Aisles are a bit cramped, but the staff makes the presentation look great. They are no longer understaffed on the retail floor, and all the employees are friendly and helpful. Please don't judge the store on the pharmacy. They are two different entities. We're fortunate to have this retail outlet in our neighborhood. Between the theft that goes on and all the complaining, I'm worried that they may close this branch someday.

NOT INCLUDING THE PHARMACY THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN....As far as the STORE the employee's are outstanding and they put up with a lot of stress with all the homeless shoplifters and Walgreens companies do nothing to protect their employees or customers from this not the employee's of the store's fault

The pharmacy is pretty bad. I have given up using them. My child needs multiple medicines, and they never seem to have everything in stock and refuse to check other Walgreens. I just use the Safeway down the street now, more reliable, better service.

Used to use CVS Pharmacy in the city Target on Powell. They were always so helpful and on top of everything. Then my insurance changed and I had to switch to Walgreens. This place is rough. There's no excuse for it to be so so bad. Switching over my prescriptions was a nightmare. I had to call them no less than 3 times and go in store 3 more times to get urgent medication (insulin) for an order I made over a week prior. Each time someone would tell me they had no history of orders or that there was issues with my insurance after everything had been confirmed multiple times. Very long waits with no less than 4 people working back there. I really try to keep a cool head with anybody in some type of service. I give people the patience and respect I would want in my own job. But it is so discouraging when it feels like you're talking to people who can't meet the most basic expectations of their position. Especially when our lives are in their hands. You're asking them questions they must get a million times a day, and they stare at you like you have two heads. It's kind of dehumanizing. We pay so much for healthcare. So much for RX co-pays. We shouldn't have to answer 1000 riddles to get our meds. As a store its fine. It's Walgreens. If you need a Coke Zero or a box of wine, they've got that covered at least. And you'll need it after dealing with the pharmacy.

The worst experience consistently! Rude staff, long lines, drive-they always closed, RX lost or never filled. The one that is nice of the pharmacy staff members has the worst accent to understand and through a mask it's insanse the amount of confusion created. I'm currently sitting waiting for a RX I was told would be ready yesterday and isn't and I'm watching customer after customer in line come up ask for something confusion ensues and they ultimately leave without what they came for. Literally the last 4 people the lady helped. I hate that this is my closest Walgreens which is where my insurance wants me to go. This one needs help!

I’ve never written a bad review in my life, but I spent over 4 hours on hold with this pharmacy over the last 3 days. When it finally rang, they just hung up. My schedule makes it difficult for me to go in during pharmacy hours and when I finally got to go in the lady was just rude. Almost everyone I saw in line had some kind of issue with their refill, pickup, or appointment. I’ve been without my meds awaiting a refill for days.

It's difficult to properly relay how terrible this pharmacy is.I'm not sure if it's a mixture of general apathy of the management or being understaffed/under experienced, but the end result is that you will almost assuredly have issues trying to use their services to do just about anything. They screw up my script every. Single.Time.It's often the same exact mistakes again and again, and despite relaying this nothing ever improves. I've caught them in lies, and they are quick to try to handwave the issue and blame your insurance and/or provider.Avoid at all costs, I'm now driving to a pharmacy much further away because I can't handle the wasted time and added stress.Utterly incompetent on every level, this place needs to be investigated.

This is the first online review I have ever written. I normally don’t take the time to complain about poor service, but this pharmacy is absolutely horrendous. I’m a diabetic, and I have tried three times to order supplies from this pharmacy. Every time I do, I get a confirmation text from Walgreens that the order was placed, followed by a text saying that they’re all out of stock, but reassuring me that there are “more coming”. After this, it is complete radio silence from the pharmacy while my insulin pump supply runs critically low. When I finally call them because I’m on the last of my supply, I have to wait on hold for an hour just to be told that the items were never actually ordered, and were instead just sitting in the outbox of the pharmacy. The second time this happened I asked the pharmacist if there was any way that the problem could be rectified, and he just shrugged his shoulders and said I would have to call to remind them to complete the refill request every single time. Completely unhelpful or unsympathetic to the fact that I have to dedicate over an hour every week to remind them to do what they told me had already been done.Again, I have never written a negative online review before, but I have also never had a more consistently negative relationship with a business. My life literally depends on these supplies, but I have never even gotten so much as an apology for this issue, let alone an attempt to correct it. If you’re looking for a pharmacy in Portland, this one should be at the bottom of your list.

Worst pharmacy you will ever encounter.Pharmacist asks questions that are NONE of their business. I had a medication that was supposed to be filled and was given pushback/questions. After finally paying for it they told me I would have to return another time even though I explained I was out of said medication. I’m uncertain if the pharmacist who has a million questions understands that people can get very sick without their medication.

Very friendly store associate. I needed to send something back through FedEx and when someone came to help me she said let me get some one to help me because I've never did a return label. So a store manager came and showed her step by step and it was done. Gracie who was the store manager was very polite, friendly and has great customer service.
