I am rather old and have a hard time shopping by myself, It's hard for me to talk to people because I have a bad lisp. I had came in to get some strawberries since they were on sale and I couldn't find them. A young man working there noticed I needed help and he was very kind and patient with me. He apologized for not having the strawberries in the display, he went into the back and carried back 3 cases in his arm and even looked through and got me the best looking ones! He was very caring and understanding and made me feel as if I didn't have a lisp at all. He made me feel so welcome I had my son help me make this account and download this app or whatever you call it. believe his name was Joey in the fruits and vegetables section. if you see this thank you very much!

Good produce. Clean store. Why is this making me write more. I have nothing more to say. Jeez, Yelp.

If you are Jewish or Muslim, do not shop here or use the deli. All I've wanted, multiple times, is a breakfast burrito with chicken in it instead of the pork sausage and bacon that are their only options at this store. At the Safeway in SW Portland they have this option, ready to go no questions asked. At this location however, they take time to go get a manager to tell you the chicken costs too much to do that and to order the chicken bacon wrap instead without bacon -- a menu item twice the price. So I'm just supposed to forego the egg, spend twice the money for an item missing part of it, because I can't eat pork? This is blatant discrimination against people with dietary restrictions.

When I'm running errands or have appointments in this area - which is frequently - I stop at this Safeway. It's such a pleasure compared to the downtown Portland location that is closer to my house and that I renamed the Un-Safeway for obvious reasons. To be able to enter a store without stepping over people and being harassed is now a noticeable and head shaking experience! Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore! The store is clean and well stocked. Service friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking. And all the items I buy at the other locations without all things that make the SW Jefferson, Lloyd Center Pearl locations a hassle, and sometimes, unsafe, experience.

Most helpful grocery experience I've ever had. Even the folks stocking shelves stopped what the were doing to help because my eyes were wandering. All the employees seemed happy to be there, it was so shocking and refreshing all of the same time I live in Southwest Portland and I think I will be driving to this location to shop from here on out.

Unfortunately this is not a happy place. Their cashiers and customer service people are often rude and combative. I only go there because it is closest to my house however given recent interaction there with their customer service and consistent errors with their price tags - I would rather go to fred meyer or traders joe. What a shame..

I never shop here. This day I just happened to have one of their magic $10 off $50 coupons and I will be pretty honest - I am searching for the best prices which usually land me elsewhere though there are certain items I have to get at Safeway, Fred Meyer and I grab things at Costco. But, overall I am a pretty strategic shopper. I also live right by Beaverton High School so I have a few Safeway locations which are closer to me. I work out towards Hillsboro though and caught a movie afterwork so....long story to explain why I was here. The Safeway near me makes me not want to shop at Safeway just from the parking lot alone. I pulled up here and was just shaking my head since there are no ADA spots (I am currently sporting a cane and injuries on both ankles) but genuinely there were not a lot of spots taken which are the definite benefits to doing your grocery shopping Monday around 11pm. I started our lingering over their plants and flowers which is a total me thing. I did not find something screaming it needed to come home with me but I have my heart set on some actual tree branches to fill an empty vase I have which they did not have but their cut stems were pretty tempting at a decent price as well. I mostly did well in the produce and am glad I wanted to do a bit of post movie walking to work my ankles a bit because I REALLY wanted corn. There was no fresh ears - just the four packs stacked in huge piles which looked no good - I looked at them all and each looked old with that starter turning pink about to rot thing...eww....on sale, yay? I kept looking because every other store has an alternative but I just got sad and grabbed the rest of my produce when I suddenly notice in the organic section there are two four packs (at the exact same price as the rotting non organic corn) which are almost hidden on an upper shelf. Both pack were perfect and looked very fresh. So yay? I was disappointed that they do not carry Seagrams Ginger Ale as I prefer it but Canada Dry was on sale for nearly half off but you need a digital coupon. Alright - so I got my Safeway card back when they first started the coupon card trend back over two decades ago so that card - I don't know and I think I got my newer phone linked to....something and the app...worked once? I just get hostile and give up seriously not wanting to scroll through fifty damned pages to save 20 cents but this was a lot. My phone got smart offering to upgrade the app....ugh....well this is going to be stupid.... But no...and then Safeway app just says hay what's your number - I got you... And it did... and boom, first screen all these click this just easy coupons... Can you teach every other freaking store because most lock up while you are in the damned store and then trying to get anything to go through while you are checking out feels like hostage negotiations. But it all went through super easy and I won't lie - watching $30 drop off at checkout was VERY nice. And that was not all from them having Tillamook ice cream on sale for $2.99 a gallon, I swear...though the strawberry is DELICIOUS... This shopping evening was a lot more good than bad and genuinely this is a pretty easy drop in when I am heading home from work so Safeway, you got my attention and now I have your app.

It’s sad to see this location is apparently in the process of closing. They no longer are stocking much in the meat section, produce was almost completely empty, along with deli section. Basically a ghost store at this point

I shop at this Safeway fairly regularly. I have never once had an issue. The employees have always seemed to be nice. During the pandemic they were the only store I went into that seemed to always be stocked up on most items and they had toilet paper a lot of the time! Back in July 2021, Safeway on NW Cornell Rd. on a Tuesday evening, I went to grab a couple of sale items. Which if you shop at Safeway, you know is the last day for their weekly specials to end and new ones start on Wednesday morning. When I got up to the register, my items weren't ringing up without those sale prices as if they had ended already, even though it was still Tuesday. My cashier Mary, was so wonderful! She looked at all of the sale prices, changed all of the prices to the correct amounts right then and there since the sale was ending later that night. She was incredibly patient with me, and just an all around wonderful cashier. I asked her for her name so I could leave a review. I should've left a review sooner, I just kept forgetting to leave one with my busy schedule. I have never forgotten her kindness and patience. Thank you again Mary! I hope the store gives you a raise for your patience, kindness and your ability to deal with customers issues.

I've only been to this Safeway a few times but the last couple visits I've had Lisa ring me up and she is seriously the best. She's so nice! Honestly I don't think I've ever felt inclined to review a grocery store before this so that should tell you something. Side note: It's so insanely hot this weekend... I wish management would try to do more for their cashiers and those running around stocking. If they are, I noticed no managerial presence. Get your staff some water! It's crazy hot this weekend and retail is a thankless job. Big shout out to everyone working the floor there right now. Extra side note: I can't find takis here if they even have them. Kinda sucks. You also can't see into any of the freezers lol

Deli food, such as the jojos, corn dogs, and mac and cheese is really good! I like them very much, They have great customer service quality and are a great place to go grocery shopping.

It's amazing to me that I used to never go to Safeway before Covid. Now I use their Drive Up and Go services at least once a week. You download their Delivery and Pick Up Services app-search by name or isles for what you want, input a pick up time slot, and then pick it up. I allow them to make the subsitutions they feel are appropriate if the specific item I picked isn't in stock (usually just a small difference you won't notice) which will eliminate the items not recieved when you pick up. I think the lady who delivers to my car is named Joyce (regular mon-fri employee) and she is amazing. I couldn't imagine how much work she does behind the scenes but always comes to my car with a smile. I highly recommend anyone who finds grocery shopping anxiety inducing to use this service. It is awesome.

I am reviewing my experience ONLINE ordering with delivery. It turns out that the online ordering website and app are integrated and fairly easy to use. We were motivated to start ordering groceries delivered for my wife's parents who are vulnerable during COVID, and with Winter coming, we may need deliveries if we are stuck at our house due to weather. There was a promo code SAVE20 which was for $20 off delivery on online orders of $75 or more. The Safeway Club discounts were estimated, and I tried some Just 4 u digital coupons, that weren't calculated on the initial order but were correctly reflected on the receipt. We ordered at 1040am and allowed to edit before 11am, which I did as well. The order delivery was estimated to arrive the same day at 5-7pm and it arrived just before 5pm. The text alert included a link to track the delivery and it was similar to Lyft or Uber. They emailed the receipt which was a good deal since just about every deal in store works on delivery. This method of ordering groceries helps people stay safe, and the essential workers who provide the services are doing a great job! We appreciate you and I just wish there was a way to provide a tip on the app. I chose unlimited delivery for $99/year which is free for the first 30 days.
