Mea culpa.... I've been coming here for years, and somehow have never written a review. Woodstock Wine and Deli is an exemplary neighborhood place, with the food and wine promised by the name, as well as being a great spot for live music, and sitting and enjoying their products. There is a performance space at the front, a wine counter (for by-the-glass purchases) on the wall to the left, and the deli counter at the back of the store. The center and the right wall are devoted to shelves and shelves of bottles.A good order of events is to stake out a place to sit, then go to the deli window and make a food order, and, finally, visit the wine counter go find your beverages. You can then sit down with your wine and wait for the freshly made sandwiches to be brought to your table. One thing I have not found is complete information online about music performances. Their FB page has some tasting and music events listed, but I've been to others that I've only known about by word of mouth. I'd advise dropping by, shopping, and checking out postings in the store for upcoming performances.

Having been going here for 15 years and appreciate the efforts this old school wine shop puts forth. They always try and please. It does not have many bells and whistles, but it's got heart and passion.

I have been a patron of Woodstock Wine & Deli since I was in kindergarten. Now I am 36, and live an hour outside of Portland, but whenever I am in the neighborhood I always stop in and get a Salami sandwich just like I did growing up.

Stopped in today to restock my wine rack and found a great variety of Oregon Pinots for very reasonable prices. I will definitely be back! Staff was super helpful, knowledgeable and I got a discount on 12 bottles. Highly recommend! I can’t wait to come for a glass and a sandwich with friends. ❤️

Straightforward store with beer, wine and sandwiches. The best part is the live music, especially Pete and Paul Barkett. Long time singers with a great following - folk, Elton, Beatles and more. Call and see when they are singing enjoying the group, eat a sandwich and drink some nice wine.

I've been meaning to come by here so after a ZoomCare appointment, what better thing to pair with antibiotics but some wine?!I like wine. I recently bought a wine fridge. But I'm not super knowledgeable. I'm learning things about Mega Purple and big name brands that sell out, so I'm trying to wean off of grocery store wines. I went to Woodstock Wine around 2pm and it was very quiet, I thought it was closed, but I was greeted by an employee very promptly. The store is quite big, with tall shelves and crates full of wine. I explained that I'm trying to venture out more and described the kinds of wines I usually buy and the regions I tend to gravitate toward. He was very knowledgeable and walked me through some options and price points. He made some enthusiastic recommendations and I walked out with 4 different bottles for $105. I've only had one so far but it was very good! I'll be back to restock my fridge and hopefully also try their deli offerings.

Good old fashion Deli. Can't wait for business to improve so they can bring back the salads and deserts.

I visited this place for the first time the other day and it is one of the coolest delis I think I've ever seen. The environment is super open and spacious and clean with so many nice wines displayed. The man behind the counter, I'm assuming the owner, made me one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I ordered a number 2 with sour dough bread and mayonnaise and mustard and all of the ingredients were super fresh, the bread was super fresh and the sand which was clean and tasty. I never had a chance to come here before but it appears that they have jazz shows and wine tastings and I hope to go again soon. This is a wonderful spot with a very dedicated owner and I hope others come to support it.

The guy knew his wine and they paired exceptionally well with our Italian dinner.

Super nice owner serving customers. Worth supporting. Helpful with picking out wines, with a good selection at good prices. Business is leaning more toward wine than deli lately, hopefully as more people start going out more the food can get to be a bigger part of visiting.
