This is a great shop. I’ve been coming in for a few years and almost always find a new pair of pants or tee or sweatshirt. They have introduced me to a few brands that do their production in the US with materials like hemp and organic cotton, and I’m always on the lookout for those. It’s also a good place to shop for gifts for anyone in your life who is outdoorsy.

One of the best shops on Mississippi. An eclectic collection of clothes, books and random things (Pocket knives? Micro spikes? They’ve got it.)Weird, thoughtful and quintessentially PNW. Come in for a mushroom hat, and leave with a skateboard deck. Staff are human beings, doing their best in a capitalist hellscape — chill and friendly despite dealing with a deluge of tourists during the spring and summer.Having lived off Mississippi for 4 years, it’s one of the few shops that consistently draws me back in just to see what new things they’ve got.

I came in here a year back or so and I thought the store was awesome and had a great selection of high end outdoor goods. There also was a nice used clothing rack. I ended up regretting my purchase however when the clerk who is the owner i think rudely answered my question about recommending hikes. "There are so many" and I got the indication that I was better off finding some random worn path...

Lovely curated earthy-luxe goods, different than anywhere else in town. Best selection of Jungmaven. So why do I always feel like an unwelcome guest in this shop? Why is the "customer service" guy so mopey and unpleasant? And I mean for YEARS. Smoke a joint, take some vitamin D please.

This is one of my favorite spots in town, they always have great items and are a fantastic place to Christmas shop (with the wide array of items that they have on offer I find it a great place to pick something up for all my loved ones). This is also a place that I recommend to any friends traveling through town. Throughout COVID they have called awareness to how to support other local organizations and businesses, they are certainly a great member of the community! Give them a follow on IG while you’re at it, it’s worth it!

Love this place, especially the foraging / PNW outdoors library. Great spot to have in the neighborhood for threads, skate gear, and apothecary too.

I disagree with all the negative comments about the owner. My husband and I have been shopping here every couple of months since we've found out about it (almost two years ago?). Every time we've gone in there the owner has been super nice. The closest thing that came to an "awkward" encounter was when I gave the owner a compliment stating that his shop was one of the best curated stores in portland in my opinion. And even then, it wasn't actually awkward. He was just humble and quiet. It seems like some of the reviewers here are just confusing reserved with rude or grumpy. Quite frankly, I think it's ridiculous. I have several friends who shop here as well and not one of them has had a bad experience. Do yourself a favor and disregard the negativity. Check out this store. It's super cute, the clothes are great, and the accessories are really neat.
