This shop fixed a major screw-up from another shop. The shop owner was extremely professional and did not bash the previous shop for the terrible job they did, but pointed out where they fell short in addressing the underlying problem with our truck. After fixed, there was a very minor oil leak and they rushed me in to get it addressed and didn't charge for the leak repair.
From beginning to end, they were professional, honest, and very thorough. I've had many bad experiences at other shops in the past and I can very confidently say that American Pride does it right! I'd recommend them ten out of ten times.

2004 GMC 1500 Sierra 4x4 needed a rebuilt transmission, dropped off day before and was ready to go @ 1:pm next day. Drives & shift like new truck - very satisfied. Bring it in for a free 30 day check-up and the 3yr-50,000 warranty is signed off. Very nice folks to deal with, answered all my questions and would recommend them to others.

Our farm & tow vehicle's transmission had issues and the folks at American Pride replaced it swiftly and reasonably priced for the work involved. Truck is running great now.

I very rarely leave negative reviews but this was beyond irritating.I had an appt booked just over 2 weeks out and Monday. I drove in from east of Prineville with my husband following me they told me they wouldn't actually be able to get to my vehicle in the stated timeframe due to being down a mechanic.They said I could leave the car for 5 extra days and it would get done or bring it back in 5 days.Due to needing a rental car while mine was being repaired I didn't want the cost for 5 extra days (9 total). Thankfully I was able to cancel my car rental 20 minutes before pickup without a charge!I let the lady at the desk know I wasn't leaving my car and as I was pulling out the guy comes to ask me if I would be back on the following week?I let him know had they better communicated with me in advance maybe I would have come back but it was quite inconvenient to come in from Prineville, have my husband follow me to take me to get my rental and no one notify me that they couldn't honor my appt I made over 2 weeks prior.He got snippy at me saying it's not like he could control when someone's family died. Almost trying to make me feel guilty for being upset. I gave my condolences and explained he could have notifed me through. He proceeded to tell me that he'd only found out on Friday.... 3 days prior, and his snide response was... he doesn't work on the weekend.I'm not heartless, I do feel for the person who lost a family member.Business should have been handled differently to account for the tragedy and lack of staff.

Extremely unprofessional and very rude! When I dropped my transmission off he said it would be one week, when I called two weeks later to get a status update he told me it would be at least another week and if I did not like it I could come pick my transmission up. When I showed up to pick up my transmission it was obvious he had left it sitting in the rain, then he threatened to beat me up. Would NEVER recommend.Service: Transmission
