I've been with Evergreen Bank for close to 19 years was more than happy with the bank. Until I wanted to put some money in a cd account. Grants Pass, a Rogue River, Medford was all offering 4.05% interest. there a new branch and Ashland was offering 5.25% interest but they have informed me that I had to open up a new account in Ashland. And as I told them, why would I want two different accounts from the same bank? Or why do I want to cancel the account that I've had for close to 19 years to open one tomorrow at the same Bank. A few days later I went and canceled my account with you all my money took it. To first interstate where they paid me 5.15% interest with no checking account no requirement no nothing other than just 5.15% interest for anybody who wants it. I also felt that if Evergreen was being this sneaky and this is underhanded to their customers that offering them 5.25% for four months that they probably weren't going to do nothing special for them after the four months expired. So I somewhat valued customer of 19 years left. I hope they treat you better than they treated me.

Wow... there is actually a bank that appreciates the fact that you leave your money there and allow them to loan it out to others and make interest off of it... this is the only bank that I have dealt with where, when they say that your account is inactive, at my request, they simply push the button on their computer and "reactivate" it. I have had numerous banks tell me that my account had become inactive and either charged me a monthly fee or said that I would have to make a transaction of some sort in order to "reactivate" it. My answer to those other banks was simply to go and close the account and move my money elsewhere. I now know which bank will be getting the funds from the accounts at those hard to work with banks...
