A group of 14 of us descended on this winery this afternoon only because of its proximity to our campground. What a pleasant surprise! The wine, service, and outside setting on the river exceeded our expectations. And the charcuterie was so much better than some we tried along the way. You won't be disappointed...
Knostman Family Winery is a family owned vineyard and winery located on the North Umpqua river specializing in small lot wines from our estate vineyard. These wines include Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Gamay, Dolcetto, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Muscat, and Rosè. We also have Pinot Noir from the Umpqua Valley. All of our wines are made via a slow and cool fermentation process and an extended maceration in order to extract as much complexity as possible. Our reds are kept in barrel for 9 months or more depending on the varietal. We really enjoy these wines and believe you will too.
