A Loop Campground in Champoeg State Historic Area offers a nice property with clean and spacious restrooms, free showers, and a playground. The water pump and dog-friendly environment attract families. Visitors note that the spot A25 is hard to back into, and the electrical outlets are worn out and don’t grip plugs well. The campground can be full, and some find the wait for a campsite and the 4 pm office opening disappointing. Ground maintenance is loud and inconvenient, but many recommend the place for its fun atmosphere and cool neighbors.
We thought this was a nice property but we were unable to get a campsite and there is no notice of site being full without a 2 hr wait gor staff to open the office at 4 pm. Very disappointing

We had an awesome experience there. The restrooms were pretty clean, and the playground was very fun. There was also a water pump. That was pretty fun. Very cool there. Very dog-friendly. I highly recommend here.

The spot we have (A25) is hard to back into. The angle would work better if the roadway were one-way the other direction! Also, the electrical outlets in the box are worn out so the don't grip the plugs very well.
