Rented a car here through the Costco app. Confirmed car type, pickup, drop off before leaving Albany to drive here. All airport doors locked, lights off, no communication. Absolutely absurd. Reported.

Outta all the car rentals avis saves the bacon.. long story short. When to Hawaii, had no clue it is a Credit card only state cash not preferred..sad. or debt card limited..
Manger of avis rented us a 🚗 suv Manger special on cash, with my debit card as back up. After the other rentals screwed us over when we got to Hawaii when we had pre-booking. So since than Avis has had our business for any auto rental needs..
I rented a hellcat charger for the weekend drive to California and back..just because it to was hidden Manger special..

Understaffed and slow but the woman working the counter was doing all she could. The car we reserved online was actually not ready, but she upgraded us at no charge to a better vehicle.

Terribly ran company. I was charged over $330 for a car I never rented and have been refused a refund by several people so far. Until I go into the Salem Avis near the airport I have been refused refund by customer service. I have not spoke to anyone on the phone that was currently in this country.

Can't rent a vehicle without them running a credit check. Other customers don't get credit checked. I'm not sure why. I been renting from Avis without issues until last year when they asked for my social security number. Not everyone has good credit, so many get denied to rent here. I had a good credit, but I recently made a big purchase, so it affected my score. They know I am reliable, they know I have been renting here for a long time, they know my address but because of this one change to my score I was turned down from getting a vehicle and almost ruined my family's Spring Break getaway. I was lucky I made another reservation at Enterprises, so they us got us a van.

Beware of all the HIDDEN fees!! My rental was $500, but by the time they added all the unexplained “fees” it was $570! That’s ridiculous! Why are these not discussed at the time of rental?!
