Beware of all the HIDDEN fees!! My rental was $500, but by the time they added all the unexplained “fees” it was $570! That’s ridiculous! Why are these not discussed at the time of rental?!

We needed a rental car at the last minute. I called ahead because it was getting close to closing time. The lady was super courteous and accommodating, perfect customer service. She let us in at exactly closing time with no complaints! Set us up with a car in record time and we were on our way. Thank you Avis!!!

The process of renting a car was made easy thanks to the great employees of Avis in Salem Oregon. We’ve never rented a car before, so this was a first time experience for us and it was fantastic. They were so helpful and kind in the whole process. Will definitely use Avis in the future. The car was great.Thanks Avis !!!!!

Jessica was great at the Salem location. However there was not enough vehicles to rent from. I only had 3 to choose from. Otherwise I was happy with the service her and her colleague provided.Apart from the Salem rental place, the Los Angeles drop off was atrocious. We got lost trying to exit their lot. Additionally my gas meter was not even checked and I was going to get charged more even though I had it full. I had to dispute for my money back because the reciept I got was way more than originally quoted. That wasted a lot of my time and while the man at the desk was friendly and helpful, he was the only one working and the wait was pretty long. I would reccommend that y'all check in on this location amd their practices... Not the people, people were great!! Their procedures need to change a little though. ??

Vehicle I reserved was not available. Location was not opened for thirty minutes after scheduled open time for return. Person I spoke to at the counter was nice at least.

I had an extremely easy pick-up with a very friendly representative. The whole transaction took maybe 10 minutes which was great. But the best part was the drop-off. I screwed up my reservation and ended up dropping it off a day late; the holidays got me like ?. The same representative who helped me check the car out also helped today. He eased my mind by adding on a day, changing the reservation and quickly checking the car in. Done ✔️ Great service. And a great price.

Lives up to its reputation as a mid range rental agency. Some locations are really run down printing out rental agreements on dot matrix printers, and other locations are more modern. Cars are usually pretty clean and lower mileage, but it’s no Hertz.

My car reservation was for 3pm. I showed up at 4pm. Neither of the two cars available had been cleaned so I had to wait 45 minutes for a car to be cleaned. I am not a smoker so I was extremely disappointed when the car was given to me and it had clearly been smoked in.

My overall experience with this company has been hell renting the truck with all the damages that came with it but since I talked with the assistant manager Jessica Boyd at the Salem Oregon location, she was helpful enough to guide me through and calm me down during a very stressful time being on the phone for hours on end trying to get my refund back for all the times the battery died on me froms the doors being faulty. I had an issue with the budget truck doors,where the battery would die if the doors weren't closed properly. To make sure the doors were closed I would have to shut them multiple times just to make sure they were closed so that battery wouldn't die. Jessica assured me that this happens with many customers everyday and she has to deal with all the angry customers that come with it. The employees and the customers should not have to deal with the repercussions. The damage that was caused by Amazon and other parties that are in partnership with budget truck that use the trucks and return them damaged without having to pay the price. This issue needs to be attended to and resolved. Jessica gets a good review from me not the company itself. Jessica deserves a raise and deserves to be treated better by the company she works so hard to represent. Everyone has their breaking point and there is only so much a person can handle. Jessica was just nice enough to go out of her way to help me feel better and assure me that this was not just all in my head. All the trucks come back damaged and then the customers that use them don't know that the damage is that bad. Customers pay top dollar for the truck and if something goes wrong make sure to call roadside to have that in the system otherwise you won't get your money for any thing that may happen.
