Went here for roofing supplies. Much larger selection than Home Depot or Lowe's. Prices are pretty much comparable. Good and knowledgeable service. Will be coming here for roofing supplies from now on

Quoted $80 per in person, then rang up at $111 per without mentioning the difference. Returned same day within hours after calling and asking if they would wave restock since competitor has it for 80 per. Said yes. Returned it and gave me no paperwork. Find out later on my cc they charged 20% plus fees. Go in person to ask about it and iturns out i was dealing with the branch manager for the purchase, phone confirm before i came back to return, and return. He said i price shopped him and that's what you get. Said he never said he wouldn't charge a restock fee when i called on the phone. I have it recorded Donnie--you did, and i wouldn't have driven back to return if u said u wouldn't as it wouldnt have been worth the time/$ with the restock. I wouldn't have vowed to never use Beacon or write this review if you just would of been straight with me when i came back in person to ask about it, as i thought it was just a mistake. Nope, intentional deception. The manager was literally angry that i was even asking what happened. He also seemed angry when i asked him a question about the products before i even bought anything. Worst experience I've had with any company in years.

I went in and asked how many shingles are in a bundle, and was told 21. I needed 45 to complete the job. So I ordered 3 bundles knowing I would have extras. Actually there was 23 shingles in a bundle and I only needed 2 bundles. I asked what the return policy was and was told " 20% restocking". But when I returned them I was charged 20% plus $6.00 "processing fee". Buyer beware of this company.

Bought 3 bundles of shingles out of their hundreds they said they had in stock. I brought it home and decided to have a roofer look at it first and they said they use their own shingles so I went back the next day to return them. Charged $30 restocking fee. I was told this restocking fee is a corporate policy and cannot be waived. I will never be doing business with beacon again. I get better deals and Home Depot or Lowe’s and can return anything without anytime of penalty. Employees were nice just sounds like a bad corporate policy. Policy would make more sense if it was a whole pallet orSomething.

Yesterday Allied delivered and placed 4 pallets of shingles for me.It was not surprising that a lady drove the truck, but I was totally amazed to see her carrying full bundles of shingles across the roof on a 92 degree afternoon.She is not a big woman but she kept up with the conveyor belt and did more than her share of the work because she had to carry the shingles twice as far as the other rooftop worker. It was amazing to say the least.The five stars were earned by that astonishing woman.
