UNSAFE place to work. They have an INSANE COVID INFILTRATION which is hospitalizing thier clients and staff; chronic re-infections because of poor administration support and oversight. The residential care facilities are all ran by a power hungry poorly experienced managment who have NEVER actually WORKED AT A CARE FACILITY. An entire household and staff had covid for over three weeks without a house manager or supervisor present! The turn over is Inexcusable which means the client care and loyal employees suffer. They pay temporary workers $26/hour and thier permanent devoted long time staff $15/hour while the temporary workers stay on for years!! They care for 40 people in care homes and It is an unsafe environment for the clients and the employees. They don’t follow their own policies and force house managers to work until they are sick and wrecked under their lie of “salaried exempt” while they track your hours and tell you when and where to be violating the intention of the salaried employment laws. Give it a year or two and this agency will be a disaster. Using covid as an excuse for poor administration can only work for so long.Hopefully, the new CEO will wake up and slash and burn where needed considering with this COVID neglect situation it’s not just jobs, lives are also at stake.

I wish I could get help with a car repair I'm desperate. I cant get any help and I'm way low income now because I can't work unless car is fixed. I'm about to loose my home. I cant get through on the phone to these people.

I absolutely am grateful for this place. Once I was referred to the FHI program, I was helped immediately. I am in a much better place now than I was before, thanks to CCS and their AMAZING employees!

The organization is truly dedicated to their mission: they champion the positive development of children and adults, strengthen families, and build community. They gracefully walk the difficult line between prioritizing care and staying true to their values. Multiple programs providing comprehensive services are offered by a diverse group of professional staff and earnest volunteers. I am thrilled about the value and presence of CCS here. Highly recommend whatever need you may have!

My experience with this state and federal funded program has not been helpful. I am currently being prevented from accessing safe, secure affordable housing due to their polices that directly impact people of color. I had to hire a lawyer to advocate on my behalf while I'm appealing my housing denial. I am a single parent and a full time college student who has experienced barriers that are currently being used against me by this company; without any valid reason that justifies the legal requirements stated in their own rental criteria or mandated by the Federal Fair Housing Act. Its unfortunate that I have to fight for my civil liberties with this " non profit company" who claims that their goal is to help people not hinder them; which is a major disservice. Considering the fact that the organizations mission statement asserts that helping families who come from a low income or adverse background is their goal. It seems that equal opportunity is something that is not being regarded for my family, and I when it comes down to it. I'm hoping my lawyer can talk some sense into these people and they end up doing the right thing. 5/18/2017 So, I am updating my recent review with this organization. I am happy to announce that the denial decision was overturned. At last me and my family will have access to a clean, safe affordable unit really soon. I am so grateful that this opportunity was given to my family, and I am also thankful for CCSF willingness to give me a chance and help me and my family gain self sufficiency. 8/28/18 I’m finally done with them. I left the unit in immaculate condition and had zero balances upon moving. My experiences bittersweet.
