This place USED to have excellent customer service. Not any more. We live in West Salem and buying gas at this station is very convenient for us. Lately we have not been impressed with the service. You see, this Chevron station is VERY expensive. We thought the great customer service was worth the extra price and supporting a West Salem business was good. Melinda was VERY nice. She gave our dog treats and always met us with a friendly greeting and asked how we were doing. I guess she is gone now. In the past all of the people helping you were friendly. They even cleaned your windshield. Basically just a bunch of nice people worked there. Our last visit was our third visit in a row where the employees did not care about helping customers. The two guys were not friendly. We felt as if we were bothering them, as they had to get up from their folding chairs and help someone. We were the only customers. Our windshield was very dirty. They did not offer to clean it. My daughter got out and asked if we could use the squeegee to clean our windshield. The guy said sure, then walked back to his lounge chair. They still offered no help. I figured they would, as there were no other customers, but they did not offer assistance. So, we cleaned the windshield. They didn't even say hello or good bye to us. Remember, this place charges A LOT of money for their gasoline. So cleaning a windshield and being friendly makes up for the high cost. But todays employees acted as if customers were bothering them by interrupting their conversation and having to get out of their lawn chairs. This is kind of sad, as we've been customers here since 1991, ever since they had their little store that sold fishing bait. Anyway, we've watched the service slowly go down hill. I guess there is a silver lining though: We are saving a TON of money now on gasoline. We just fill up at Costco when we are shopping. They have the best prices in town AND they are very friendly. Good Bye West Salem Chevron.

Says online (Google) they sell Non-Ethanol fuel but they don't and the female attendant was confused and thought it was Diesel. I will Never waste my time here again

Noticed their prices never drop even when others do. I've never seen it below $3.75 in 2 years. I've never seen the guys that work during the day wear masks and I don't get the same courteous treatment by those guys either, as I see them give everyone else. I'm not sure why. Must be something about me. I wonder why they don't wear masks.

I was driving with my 3yr old daughter after a long walk in the sun, and I recognized signs of a heat stroke setting in. I was dizzy, felt sick and had a heavily beating heart, and was very anxious that I could not make it further. Thankfully, I was able to pull out of traffic and park at Chevron. It was an extremely hot day, and the attendant immediately stepped in to help me as I was at a loss, needing a savior. He led me to the small shelter (without a fan for those workers) and gave me water and a soda, for I am hypoglycemic and was having a shock and was holding my crying daughter. He got me food from my car, an ice cream for her, and waved me with a board to cool me down as I hyperventilated, waiting for my family to come pick me up. He eventually called the fire department to check my vitals as I struggled to stay present. He was nothing less than an angel stepping in like that, and I no doubt would have collapsed in the sun in shock, crying with my daughter, had he not helped us. Thank you, sir, you saved us from having a major medical crisis in this extreme heat.

Great service but west Salem has the highest prices in all of Salem. Would rather go to south Salem or Keizer.

I stopped here on March 3rd to get gas and the two young gentlemen so we’re working that day were very respectful and polite and to my surprise that you’ve been washed front and back window of the car without being asked it was an awesome experience
