On 04/16/23 I went to the Costco Hearing Center at their Salem Oregon location. My Rexton hearing aids weren’t charging so I asked about purchasing a new replacement cord for the charger. Marilyn assisted me and agreed about the cord, but looked all around and said they’d have to order it. I thanked her and left disappointed because without my hearing aids I’m at such a loss. About 45mins to an hour later, here came “Marilyn” down the aisle and said “there you are I’ve been looking for you everywhere, I found a cord”! I was so excited I couldn’t believe how blessed I was.Marilyn went above and beyond my expectations and this new location will now be my home store!!! Thank you,Bev RamseyWoodburn OR

This is really about Costco online. About a month ago they were running a "buy two appliances" receive a shop card incentive. i bought a washer & dryer and learned today that this is not two appliances in the eyes of Costco corporate. it is a "set" and only counts as 1 appliance (yet one could buy these items separately). Then they refused to install the dryer because they brought a 4 prong plug and my dryer outlet is a 3 prong. So, i had to purchase a separate plug and hire someone else to do the install. The guy who installed it showed me how the DEFAULT plug set up for this dryer is 3 prong (though one could also wire in a 4 prong plug). I now feel ripped off, as i had to spend extra money and didn't receive the promo. Very misleading.

Recently, I was in the optical department to obtain help with some sunglasses. The woman I dealt with was less than helpful. I spoke with the Optical manager. Twila took care to the problem. I appreciated her quick response and resolution. I have really never had a problem until recently. I appreciate the quick response and resolution.

The new Costco is amazing. The parking is better. The location is better. The layout of the store has more space! Love it even though it's further away.

The Costco food court is amazing. The hotdog is so juicy and cheap. I don't think i'll ever have a better hotdog. Titus recommends you get the beef to bun ratio correct before you eat it. I definitely recommend the Costco food court.

Experienced another case of reserve racism with their employee Yuri or something similar to that name in Customer Service. She is doing slight underhanded behaviors to intentionally stick it to customers. Smiling nicely for picture and then she y told me that we were done & then she took the picture afterwards for my membership card. Saw her pettiness and enjoyment to do underhanded BS. So it's not about me, she is on this vibe and it's just leaking out on whomever is the targeted group she is expressing her own jazz on. Not professional. Phony passive aggressive immature unbecoming behaviors. And many employees are not at all courteous. The whole crew isn't bad. Some all stars. The place though could use a new culture to overcome the hurdles I see there. Easy to see that it isn't running as well as it could especially with many really good staff members.

This Costco is absolutely ridiculous. We have been loyal shoppers for years now and I can't believe this is happening to us. Management is absolutely rude. The people there accuse you of stealing despite me having everything THERE and my receipt in hand, even after getting it checked and OK'd at self checkout. I understand policies and I do have to admit we have been paying separate with one membership, but the manager there was very rude about it and started yelling at us in front of staff and other customers. I have worked in customer service before and never have I ever treated customers like this as nice or rude as they are. I'm not renewing my membership with this location anymore, and I'm going over to complain about the attitude I've gotten recently. I can't believe I'm going full on Karen on these people. Old staff was so much nicer.

I was briefly in Costco today and saw that about 1/4 of the shoppers were not wearing masks. I asked one of the workers about it, and he said that they were not enforcing the mask requirement. (This, as we head into a surge with the most contagious variant yet.) So, I got myself (and my daughter) out of there as quickly as possible. (I also understand that this may make some of you more likely to shop there. Hope this is useful to y'all, whatever your opinions!)

I always enjoy going to Costco because they have everything I need. The items are easy to find and they always have a great inventory. Everyone knows the layout of the store, so anyone can help out a new member. I like most of the food that they carry and you can buy just about anything there; especially pet food and vitamins for people. I bought my glasses there 6 years ago and the frames are still in great condition!

Everyone told us to go to Costco!! They also said go to Wilsonville for faster service. I stayed with the Salem location. This was a new experience for me and everyone so thoughtful and knowledgeable. Made me feel comfortable and have been terrific and exceedingly patient!

This Costco location is constantly out of stock of items, especially if it's in the coupon book. I'm not referring to essential items that have limits which can be understandably hard to come by at all stores, but things that other locations have in stock like hair primer, sliced almonds, tableware, food containers, frozen seafood, refrigerated meat, vitamins...those are just a few of the categories (that I wanted specific items from) that I can think of right now. If you want things from the coupon book, you will definitely not get everything you want. Thought going in the middle of or towards the end of the sale was why I couldn't get it all but nope, tried going on the first day & they didn't get some items it in at all yet! I've lived here for years & it's been like this since pre-COVID. They've been here for decades so you'd think over time that they could adjust how much is ordered to keep up with the demands of a place that caters to a population that doesn't fluctuate much or overlap with other areas as much either (i.e. If you live & work in Salem or Keizer, you probably go to this one & not Wilsonville or Albany. Versus if you live in Aloha, you might go to Hillsboro, Aloha or Tigard, even more likely if you work or hang out towards another location). And most of the time, they'll let you know that Albany has them as if it's a hop, skip & a jump away. Round trip, that's actually over 40 minutes (as well as 40 miles) from this Costco...not a quick feat. I wish Albany was closer, they really do keep stuff in stock much better! Over 90% of the items that I couldn't find in Salem, they had it in Albany. Wanted something that was discontinued, Albany had it. Seasonal items that ran out fast, plenty in Albany. Coupon item, more than likely in Albany. Every once in awhile, I'll trek out to Albany out of frustration with Salem. Or if I go to Portland to hang out, I'll plan to stop at one there or along the way...which is kind of sad that I can't rely on my home Costco & budget time from an out-of-town trip to get what I would like.

Hey, thanks a bunch Costco, for killing all of those beautiful oak trees at your construction site on Kuebler Blvd! You were warned they would die if transplanted, and they did! Way to treat your new neighbors! Morons.

This is one of my favorite places to shop. From prepared meals to bulk grocery items they carry everything. A bonus is the cheap gas.
