Some Head staff members have no empathy, attitudes of control.

I was there a few days ago. They got new bins. They are smaller and had less trash in them. Hopefully they can keep it that way.

Cool place! Lots of bins full of stuff, clothes, electronics, whatever crap you want- by weight!

While a lot of people are commenting that they live it I hated it. I was shocked when I walked in and saw people digging through big bins of unorganized stuff. Not the experience I want.

Don't be misled by the closing time posted on the door or the website. They don't close at 7. They close at 6:45. And starting at six, they will remind you of this every five minutes. And at 6:45, they will walk up to you and tell you personally that they are closed.

This is such a different experience from any other thrifting experience. I had absolutely no idea what to expect walking in there and my mind was blown. The staff are great and keep the place organized and orderly. There are people here making a living by diving and buying. Most items are sold by weight at a cheap price. Found a few decent items. If you like thrifting and are in the area you absolutely have to check this out. Unlike any other experience. Enjoy and good luck.

Lots of bins to dig through. Many new items still in package. The only bad thing, which isn't that bad, is the people pushing your cart out of the way or they push you and your hands away from an item we all want. But, I continue to go back to find more treasures.

Managers kicked us out for no reason they were rude and ignorant they claimed we were taking clothes out before they put all of them out but it was a man next to me my friend was raking clothes out at first when he barley got there but he has never been to the bins before so he didnt know the rules we explained it to him afterwards and he didnt do it anymore but they said we put stuff in our bag but we didnt even grab anything so we got kicked out for no reason they lied. ?

Place is okay, I see people filling carts up with food stuff, after going to many of these outlets all over the state and other states I feel this is the weakest one, one thing I never understood is that the boats/bins are never filled up with clothing, just a thin layer and you can see the button on the bin other stores it’s filled so tall it takes a while to look through it which is great since more is found. So there’s another odd thing they place empty totes in the bins instead of just stack them up at the exit for people to have. It’s just being managed very oddly.

Carts are always available now (I haven't been in recently when there wasn't a bunch).Employees are friendly. There is definitely a culture and it can take some getting used to.Employees do their best to keep broken glass and anything sharp out of the bins (things that are supposed to be sharp go in the glass cabinet up front). If there is something sharp, pointing it out to one of them is usually all that is needed to have it removed. You never know what you are going to find, so going in with an open mind is important if you want to walk away with something. As of December 2023, the following applies-With the prices being: under 25lbs = $2.79 and over 25lbs = $1.59, if you go over 14.25lbs you should try to hit 25. The math looks like this:14.25lbs * $2.79 = $39.75 (24.75lb = ~$69)25lbs * $1.59= $39.75Obviously this isn't always so simple to find things you like to boost the weight in your favor, but something to keep in mind. I think they are trying to encourage people to get as much as they can.

Goodwill bins is where I think all the unsold merchandise from the goodwill stores goes for a variety of reasons. Either its just pure junk garbage or its super cool stuff that the goodwill had to high of a price tag on.I've purchased high speed ultra light weight camping gear grom here that should've been $450 while I paid less than $2/lbs for it.This place has good stuff but you'll have to dig through table bins of other stuff to find it.If treasure hunters go to good will and other second hand stores then ultra adventure treasure hunters go to goodwill bins.Enjoy your treasures

During my visit to Goodwill Bins in Salem, Oregon, off Portland Rd on November 15th around 5 pm, I encountered several issues. An employee informed me that trying on clothes or shoes was not allowed, though I hadn't seen any posted signs regarding this policy. Later, the same employee asked me to put my intended purchases in a duffel bag that I was also planning to buy. While waiting for my friend near the front door, the same employee approached me multiple times, even complaining about where I was standing. To make matters worse, when I momentarily left to retrieve my wallet, I returned to find that the employee had scattered my belongings throughout the store. This behavior was distressing and unacceptable. No Goodwill staff member should engage in such bullying conduct. It's crucial for the store to address these issues to ensure a positive shopping experience for everyone. The employee staff member ls name is Barbara FYI
