My car needed repairs due to a hit and run accident and was using my insurance for the rental car coverage. Insurance claims don't always go smoothly even with the best of insurance companies, but the guys here really took care of me when we ran into some issues with my insurance claims. I received excellent customer service here and would absolutely use them again for my car rental needs.

I went with my nephew to get a car his mom booked for him through AAA. There was some confusion and information that did not get passed along. The manager Lori was amazing and helped get everything straightened out The team there was very helpful and was kind. The security guard even helped give support! This is a great team thank you for taking some stress of our families plate!

Rentals can be frustrating no matter where you go. Lucky for me (and anyone who goes to the Lancaster Hertz location in Salem) there's people like Austin, who got me exactly what I needed and was flexible about keeping it longer than expected because of the repair shop taking longer than anticipated. Do yourself a favor and get your rentals from Hertz, you'll be glad you did.

UPDATE:: I was unable to find a last minute rental car and couldn't fly out until this morning.... My aunt passed and I missed what precious moments I had left. Thank you Lori for taking that from me because you were power hungry. Holy smokes where do I even begin..... Lori, you're a psycho and need some customer service etiquette classes.We showed up and my wife was paying for the rental on her credit card and I was driving. We are married. In case you missed that important detail. I feel like this entire scenario was because we are lesbians. She said we were not allowed to use her credit card and me be the driver. We were told we had to add her as a driver and pay the extra fees. I had made sure before hand, that because we were married we weren't going to have that issue. So we called Hertz customer service line and she insisted yeah that was fine, go up to the front desk and they can fix it for us. Lori is a yeller ok guys, she starts yelling. Now she's mad and she is gonna go call her regional manager. Yes please do. So she comes back and says she wants to talk to the lady on the phone form hertz.So now she's yelling at the lady from hertz that she needs to send her something if the policy has changed. And the lady on the phone is politely explaining this is the policy and she has no availability to email it. Pull it up online (which I have and showed Lori)So now we are back inside, she's still yelling, I've asked her to please stop yelling my wife has ptsd and there's no reason to yell right? I'm calm, my wife is panicking, there's another couple in the lobby going holy crap what's happening. So I'm like fine I took one of her business cards (that she had hidden under the desk mind you) so I'm like fine it's fine go ahead and I'll pay the extra fee and we can deal with it later. Now she's screaming at me that she is refusing service because I'm going to leave her a bad review. Lori, I can still leave you a bad review without renting a car from you also I have you on video yelling that you're not going to give me my rental because I am going to leave you a bad review. At this point I'm pleading with her because my aunt is in the hospital dying and I just want to please pay for it with all the extra fees and go.She also refused to give me the first and last name of her manager when I asked the security guard if he could get that information from her. She stormed outside furious to yell some more. I politely told the security guard please, she's incredibly hostile and I do not want to speak with her any more. Where she then proceeded to scream at him to call the cops. So I waited for the cops. The cops never came Lori, and your customer service is crap. Hertz is investigating the location, the Customer service rep filed a complaint, I filed a corporate complaint as well as emailed them the video of her verbally assaulting us and refusing service because I was going to leave her a bad review. All I wanted was my car.So do yourself a favor, go around the corner to enterprise on front street or even on Lancaster. Because this was the craziest thing I have ever witnessed in my life. Lori, you're a nut dude. Get help. You're the most hostile person I've dealt with and I work in ADDICTION SERVICES.

Worst car company! No stars. Not the car I asked for. Charged me an additional 179. For a few hours over ,what they said was return time. The call center said I could return that night at 7 pm. Come to find out, the place had no key drop, because it's located in a bad neighborhood. I've always rented through Enterprise. I'll stick with the car rental though them! They don't use excuses. They deliver.

I'm giving these guys a high 5. My car recently broke down and this was my first time having to do the rental experience. While I went online to do the initial rental, I have two children that I needed to transport and appts to attend to and needed this same day. I got lucky with the last available car that day. I only ended up needing this car for 3 days and they were flexible and patient with me. Thank you Austin for making this an easy process for me. I appreciated the Hertz business and customer service they ALL provided. Thank you again and glad to have my car back in working order!

Called morning of a 5 PM reservation to say they didn't have a vehicle that size. Could maybe give a smaller one. Not sure.Had to call Expedia to get refund. Explanation for the mistake was that there is a car shortage in Oregon that started 1 month ago when I made the reservation.

Stay away from these people they will lie and cheat you told me one rate charged me another and I came from out of town so I was kinda stuck worst rental experience of my life never go to Hertz again
