Home depot has a lot of product but their customer service is not very good. If you know what you want and the location then you're good. If you have a question then you might as well get comfortable because you're going to be there for awhile.

Hello, I wish to Thank Miguel at The Pro Desk for his great 10 star customer service. He took the time to price my items properly as the scanner wasn't working properly. Happy New Years.

Home Depot in its entirety, is fairly decent overall and meets and/or exceeds all expectations. Home Depot is a convenience store for contractors. Nothing more, nothing less. The selection of available tools and materials is sufficient. The brands they carry are trusted and reputable in the industry. Home Depot stands behind them and how well they perform. Never had any issues when exchanging defective items. The couple of occasions I was unsatisfied with the items I purchased there was absolutely no hesitation accepting my returns and no hoops to jump through to have the cost of the returned items promptly refunded in full. Customer service is almost always exceptional and never really been less than satisfactory. To me they get three of three stars. To achieve anything beyond three would at the very minimum require two things. First, staff would need to be much more knowledgeable of the trade specific tools and materials including intended application, current industry standards as a whole and how it relates to their assigned department, acceptable installation methods including knowledge of requirements for proper material installation. For example if buying paper to cover the exterior of a structure or dwelling they have the knowledge to know if you are just gonna need staples or if caps are required too, if you are gonna need tape for the seams or not and what other materials are required and of those which are the most compatible with each other. To meet expectations of that caliber would really put Home D' far above all the "big box" competition. It would elevate them into a different class and be closer to what the experience is like when shopping at a lumber yard/ building supply store. The good ol' Home D' shouldn't be held to such high expectations as you will always be disappointed when they fail to meet them.It is not a lumber yard. It is not a contractor.aupplt or building supply store. Previous experience and/or any kind of knowledge of the industry or the trades is not a prerequisite for employment. The employees are always more than helpful when it comes to finding the products or materials I need. With just a few swipes of the palm pilot they can tell me if it's available in store and how many they have. If they have less than I need, the employees quickly and efficiently locate the remaining quantity, call to verify it's the correct item/s and the right amount, before securing it for my purchase. Regardless if I choose to pick up from that store or from another one of the locations at that time or on a future date, or if I choose to have them deliver, they are always highly accommodating every time, scheduling based on what is most convenient for me.The same rule applies to all "big box" home improvement stores as is applied to auto parts stores. When you go to an auto parts store, you need to know what parts you need to buy and how many. They are great at providing products, the employees may be great at locating and securing what you need, they are not mechanics. Home improvement stores employees are no different. Don't expect them to be knowledgeable when it comes to construction/building or anything related to the trades, building codes, permits, or inspections. Don't expect them to know anything about the materials the store carries, especially when it comes to the purpose of material, manufacture approved installation methods, and/or suitable and acceptable alternatives on the very rare occasion they don't carry or can't find what it is you need. Don't ask the employees for their advice or opinion as it relates to your project, they are not qualified nor do they have knowledge or experience to advise you appropriately and the majority of the employees will say so themselves. Now if they do try to advise you or give their opinion on how things should be done and what materials you should use, just politely nod and smile and disregard what they may tell you. They sell the material and the tools, they are not carpenters, plumb

People there seem nice and helpful, but on my way there I called to check availability of the one thing I wanted there, and my call got transfered and it rang and then call dropped. This happened twice. I have no clue what that's about but it's frustrating. And then I get there and spend 10 minutes in there just to find out the damn registers don't have tap to pay. My wallet got stolen and I use my phone to buy things at the moment. UPDATE YOUR SYSTEMS ITS NOT THAT HARD.

I do a great deal of shopping at Home Depot. Unfortunately this store, along with others in this area have become a target for thieves. Every trip I experience some effect from it.1. I have to believe I’m paying higher prices.2. As I was checking out some man walked out with a leaf blower without paying. The clerk yelled “walk out!” But they can’t approach the offender and simply watched as he got into his new Escalade with spinning wheel hubs and drove off.3. Another time, I was getting into my car and a guy come running out with a shopping cart full of things, throwing most into his car, leaving some things, and sped off.4. When shopping, many times “on hand” items can’t be found in the store and requires a clerk to locate as they are locked up or put up out of reach to keep the thieves away.

I like home depot. The staff... when you can find someone... is helpful but doesn't always know about the items they are selling. It's best to do a bit of research before you get there and see if they have the item you are looking for in stocks. It's a 30 minute drive for me and they have limited stock available. Check the availability and aisle and bin number before you go.Something that would improve the experience and not make customers dependent on their workers would be internet that works in the building, which means the app doesn't work inside their store and it makes it more difficult to find things, especially when in-stock items locations show online and in the app. Less questions for their limited number of workers.

For a big box store it's "pretty" good. However nobody knows where anything is without the app on their phone. No one knows much of anything about building. We asked an employee to help us with a storm door, he pointed to the desk and said that guy could help and walked away. Okay, sure, not your department, got it. There were two people at the desk helping one woman. We waited patiently (20 min) when one of them freed up, he walked towards us and said the other guy will help us... Okay. We wait another 20 min and the first guy walks by chatting on the phone, cool, we're not important, noted. Another 10 minutes go by, the door guys frees up and gives us all the wrong information... What a waste of an hour and a trip to Home Depot. Please do better. Seriously.

Bathrooms are to quiet. I mean u can literally hear your heart beat. I’m dying in a stall as if a demon is coming out of me and I can hear everyone in the hallways. In the women’s bathroom. I mean I can only imagine what they hear coming from the men’s bathroom. A little music or a fan or something wouldn’t hurt. Come on guys do better. Over all bad experience wont be coming here again.

Low rating because they don't take very good care of their indoor plants. The last couple I've bought from them have been infested with mealy bugs & fungus gnats. On top of that, their discount shelf is always full because they just aren't getting taken care of. The garden department needs to step up their game or hire on more staff that actually knows what they're doing.Side note: Great tools, hardware, appliances, & and paint, though!?

It can get busy when the weather gets nice but you'll see this anywhere. Parking lot has plenty of room with easy access in and out so good flow. People working here have always been friendly and helpful when I need something.
