My wife and I have been members of OSCU for about 5 years now. We exclusively use the West Salem Branch, and could not be happier with the service we get there--Alyssa, Rachel, Chloe, and the rest of the crew there are amazing!!

Cecilia at the West Salem Branch office assisted my wife and me, we are both hard of hearing and had a technical problem with our transaction. Cecilia was extremely competent and patient with us and quickly resolved the issue. Cecilia is a pleasant person who is very proficient in her job.

So this isn’t for this specific location but more of the entire credit union. My wife and I had an auto loan through this company and had nothing but problems. Payment issues, getting an actual bank person instead of there idiots at the call center. And now we are trying to pay off the loan. This has been a nightmare because we are just trying to pay it off and the online page is not user friendly. Also again staff are idiots.

This place is amazing I checked in got in super quick set up an account the people were lovely the person in particular their name was allyssa and they were so great they helped me understand and gain a grasp on what I was doing because I’m still pretty new to being an adult and I’m grateful to have this place as my first “adult” bank!

West Salem Oregon State Credit Union helped us with an auto loan to purchase a truck. The process to apply for a loan then purchase the truck was easy and timely thanks to the staff at OSCU. I highly recommend this credit Union, thank you for your help!!

I showed up pretty close to their closing time but regardless I was still helped quickly even though they were busy. Cecelia helped me open a new account and gave me the run down on everything in under 20 minutes. The whole staff was very friendly and welcoming and the location was clean. 10/10 would recommend.

This places customer service has gone down the drain. We've had an account with them for nearly 9 years, have always kept our accounts in good standing, never a reason to treat us the way they did yesterday. I went in to deposit a large check from my employer, a commission check. (Same employer who direct deposits my paycheck to this credit union every 2 weeks). I usually get one every quarter based on sales. They refused to have the entire amount available immediately, which they usually do. Granted this check was larger than it has been recently, however, they have deposited entire checks larger than this back in December 2018, March 2019, and March 2020, though each time having to argue with them to do so. This time, they refused, and are making me wait 11 days to receive the full amount of MY money. Its bad enough that I've had to wait 3 months already to receive these funds in the first place, but to have this credit union be so blind to treat me like I'm some stranger off the street and not to look at our account history, is enough to make one reconsider about where they do their banking. If you're wanting YOUR money today, don't go here. They can't help you**Response to Owner - The branch manager is the one who told me this when I was at the branch, so she's well aware of the situation. Easy way to fix it, put all the funds through today**

This is my second time trying out this credit union. First time several years ago they would not give me back my money from savings account. Financed a vehicle with them through a dealership. Customer service was terrible (even from bank manager) when trying to set up account services. Online banking is behind the times. Difficult to make payments with out extra fees for this or that. Needless to say I am switching to another credit union.

Making it very difficult to pay your credit card bill online is not the move. You now either have to call and pay a $10 processing fee, send a check, or jump through 20 hoops to pay your bill. Closing my account with them ASAP for lack of consideration and convenience.

Word of warning: this place is the definition of a predatory lender. Have had nothing but issues with our car loan. Then finally, upon paying it off, they sent a letter stating our account had been closed. I saved the paper confirmation and everything. But do they care? No. Come to find out they opened up a savings (they have no proof in which we opened up said savings account the month we paid our loan off) in which they charged 5.00$ a month. The account was in negative status as we had no idea it was even opened and called to close it. Was told we would have to get a call back from an account specialist to close it (???) surprise they never called so we now have to keep calling back to get it closed so it doesn’t mess up our credit. We had issues throughout our entire loan process as well so I’m not surprised in the least something like this happened upon paying off our loan. Horrible bank. I’m shocked they have not been investigated and so relieved to be free of them soon.
