Staff members are odd. Cashier wore a dog collar, she/he didn't hear us asking him questions was on his phone the whole transaction.

BEWARE OF THEIR CARE FOR FISH!!
We bought a $20 Betta fish two weeks ago. Today, I went to check on the fish and he had died (RIP George Washington Fair). I brought the fish back with a separate water sample from the tank.
I also cleaned the tank and filled it up with clean water so it would be ready for our replacement fish. To make sure this water would be good and it was not something on my end that I was doing wrong, I ALSO brought in a sample of that water.
I was told to talk to Roxy in the fish area. She did not greet me or say anything when she saw me - she just stared at me…so I explained the situation and handed her the fish and water sample of the water he died in. That water did test positive for ammonia. She also tested the clean water (exactly the same as I had put George Washington in when he first got him) and it tested all good. She then asked if I had a filter and I said I did not (I do have a heater). She said it was my fault the fish died because his tank was too full of ammonia and I needed a filter. I found this ironic considering they keep their Betta fish in containers with standing water and no filter…..I’ve also had Betta fish in this same container for YEARS. Our last Betta lived a long life of almost five years.
Roxy was extremely rude and based on the conversation seemed completely uneducated on how to care for Betta fish or the fact that ammonia levels would test higher in water after a fish had died (hence why I brought the clean water for testing also). I asked for a refund and she said no because they only “guarantee the health of the fish” (hello??) so I told her I would not be purchasing there again to which she said, “have a great day!”, in an extremely snotty tone. I have taken my dog to Petco for grooming and after this experience I am considering finding a new place to do that as well.
Based on my fish experience, I’d give one star. Because I’ve had positive grooming experiences, I gave it two.

Abusing the hampsters, guinea pig and more. Saw them jumping to get out, trying to burrow but can't and they don't have enough room in the cages. They need to get rid of the tiny cages an get bigger ones!! Do NOT get a hampser cage less than 100×50cm and guinea pig and a 2×6 ft cage for guinea pigs. Also do NOT get any small animals for kids that don't have responsibility yet getting one will not teach responsibility.!!!!

I went to buy my granddaughter her first pet, a goldfish. It was a disaster the women I talked to said to sell me a goldfish I had to give it a quality of life, to my surprise you can no longer buy a fish bowl and a fish. You have to have a aquarium heater pump and all the accessories so I went home and I ordered from Amazon the next day I went back to buy a feeder fish a goldfish and the sales clerk still wouldn’t sell me a goldfish so I walked around and I found a beta that was on discount and hardly any water in its container, My granddaughter was happy with her fish.

Overall this is one of the cleanest stores around and I go to several different stores. Reps and store employees are very helpful and pleasant.

Ordered curbside pick up got here and was stuck waiting for 30 minutes and noting had to go in and wait for someone to help us workers ignoring the overhead pages I would have never got my stuff if I waited

Honestly. This location sucks, I've gone multiple times and have hated it Everytime, almost always walked out without buying something and have to go to a different location. Not usually fond of the staff (there are some good ones obviously but enough not so great ones that it's difficult to like). The other locations are much much better. Granted, they NEED to tell you about the return policies and the stipulation other than just "if the fish dies bring it back within 30 days" because apparently there is more, I've never not been able to exchange a fish before but guess there is a first for everything. If I could give this location a 0 I would honestly. Highly suggest the other locations much much more. The staff are also much friendlier at other spots.

First time I used the veterinary service through them. They offer a free first visit and the staff was cordial but nothing about my free visit was affordable and the quote for a neuter for my 7lb Chihuahua was outrageous! Best of luck with that... I'm a one income single parent I also am a pet responsible mom but that quote was over the top. And the free visit is only free if you have a coupon and proof of your coupon.
