I came in to do some tests for function.
I had Adam as my phlebotomist, and he nailed it 👌. Got it right first try, he fixed the label machine and helped another person who was feel dizzy from the blood draw.
The guy clearly works well under pressure.
If I need to do more testing this is the place

We arrived 20 minutes earlier than our appointed time. We were seen later than our appointed time. The waiting area is tiny , maybe 8ft by 8 ft and the area where they draw your blood even smaller. It was not a welcoming environment. There were no windows.
In addition, only until we showed up did I learn that 2 tests requested by my provider were not covered by the insurance company. So, on the spot, I had to call my insurance about it. Why are they 2nd guessing the medical provider that actually did the medical evaluation? I learned that BC/BS would pay for only one of the two tests I was informed about. Once I confirmed that, I told the technician to do that other test. I was upset for the delay and the news and was worried about getting my husband to his next appointment because of the extra time I had to spend at QUEST getting answers from the insurance company and the technician's need to take in another customer before us to do the 2nd blood draw for my husband. Then, at the end of our visit, the technician basically reprimanded me because of my attitude since I was upset with the entire experience and not friendly enough in my tone of voice. I was upset for all the unnecessary delays and interaction with BC/BS. I commented that, we, in the USA have the worst health care system of ALL advanced nations, which is a fact. That appeared to bother him, too. Otherwise I don't know why he then proceeded to discipline me in front of his trainee and another person waiting in the lobby about by attitude and sour mood. I believe it is not his responsibility to tell me how my mood should be so that he feels comfortable. My frustration was not directed at him. It was directed at the insurance company and the broken health care system where insurance companies are telling medical professionals what test or treatments they should or should not do in order for these insurance companies to maximize their profits. That technician should focus on doing his job and not be in the business of telling me how to react or how to feel so he feels comfortable. He shouldn't make it about himself when it obviously was not about him.

I arrived at 8:15 for my appt. was at 8:30am: I checked in, which was self-explanatory and very user friendly. Sat down at 8:18 in the waiting room. I didn't have to wait long before I was called in. Unfortunately, I don't remember the tech's name, but she was very friendly, kind, sociable and gentle, hardly felt the needle going into my arm. We were done in less than 15 minutes. Very pleasant experience. Thank you

The entrance is in the back of safeway right next to the pharmacy. The keypad on the door can be intimidating but it is actually unlocked (during business hours).
There is no receptionist and you can check in at a kiosk or on your phone. The lighting is low and you can tell the space is used for random storage.
Clifton who did my testing was nice, but didn't listen to me when I told him he wouldn't be able to get blood out of my non dominant arm. It didn't hurt when he fished around for a vein, however my arm is still very sore a week later.
I'm someone who is chronically ill and told him such so I get blood draws done pretty regularly. I really wish he would have just listened to me.

I had an appointment today for some lab work, and the lady who drew my blood was extremely kind and made sure the process was painless for me. I had been nervous going in, and she made it super quick and easy (I was done within 5 to 10 minutes). Would go to her every time if possible!

I always have a really friendly lady there who knows what she's doing. Also, she is upfront and honest, which I appreciate.
