After booking many parties here we won't ever again! Due to a very rude staff member a younger women with glasses and short hair, she was making ugly comments
walking around with an angry look on her face for leaving the party room 6 mins over our time when we just cleaned everything stacking chairs and tables, other staff was already in there setting up while we where loading stuff in the car that was outside of the party room, I understand we went over time by 6 minutes while cleaning but to have an ugly attitude towards customers and make it super uncomfortable while we were leaving, I feel someone miserable like that shouldn't be there working at a happy place for kids especially walking around swearing cuss words and saying rude remarks in the lobby as we were leaving its so unprofessional and unpleasant that the kids had to be around that and see it, all the other staff was very nice as we were cleaning up when they came to help at 1pm until we were completely out of the party room at 1:06 and they started setting up for the next party, so if your planning a party here beware of rude staff and dare not to be in the party room 1 minute past your time not even cleaning.

The carousel is awesome. The gift shop is super-cute, although I was reading some of the kids' books to my daughter on our latest visit when the girl working there said, "Are you going to buy one of those books? Because this isn't a library."
In the past, my daughter has happily wandered around the gift shop checking out what they have for extended periods of time and the people working there have always been warm and welcoming, so not sure if their policy changed or this was just a one-off. Hoping for the latter!

The manager on duty is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I was about to have a restroom accident and she could have cared less. When I asked to use the bathroom she says ‘there being cleaned go find the ones in the park’ and then flips her hand kinda like leave me alone. When I called to speak to the manager, I was informed that she is the manager, when I tried telling her my issues, she yelled at me and said I don’t care. So if this is how she handles adults, I shudder to think how she handled a child in the same situation.

We love visiting!! We stop at carousels often. This is the fastest carousel, it's a bit smaller too. My daughter loves the ring game but all the times she has rode they never have played the game. She is very sad about it. I feel the venue should have more seating options, tables. Also it would be great to have a snack bar. They do popcorn and cotton candy supposedly. We haven't seen them do it. The girl with dark hair that works in the store she is always nice.

The experience at the Carousel itself was wonderful! My son and I had so much fun. However, the shop manager was rude to me, I don't want to say it was "discrimination" as I was dressed "relaxed/sloppy".... But that's what it felt like from treatment, tone and verbal communication. I still purchased the toy for my son but I will not be returning to buy anything other than carousel tickets. It's a shame. I probably would have purchased more things if the customer service was different ??♀️. The carousel operator, food stand and the rest of the environment was amazing.

Santa 2023 was incredible. During the summer the city was quick to come out and fix issues. Love this park!

Always a favorite when grandkids come to visit. Nice having park next to carousel. Parking can still be an issue with bike riders parking car & riding bikes.

I took my brother, his wife, and daughter to Salem's Riverfront Carousel and they enjoyed it immensely! We marveled at the craftsmanship of each horse (or other piece) on the carousel itself and how each is hand-carved and painted. Truly iconic in this day and age, and one that is definitely a "must see" when visiting in Salem, Oregon!

Glad to have made it for the last ride of the day - my late grandmother's birthday the second of witch I've only had her in spirit as they say. She was so happy to go there any time and it never fails to delight with the beautiful created by hand stunning ride animals. I cried most of the trip around but it's an amazing feeling to know that the lights and music will always be there to cherish in her memory. Thank you so much! There was video but I don't have permission from the teenager by my side to post publicly so :)

I love it here. I have a little baby boy, and we come to ride the carousel and to look around at the gift shop. The staff is friendly, the place is tidy. And the woodworking of the animals on the carousel is beautiful.

We enjoyed our visit to Salem, OR. Riding the Carousel was an added bonus for us. The carved horses, etc, are beautiful, and the staff takes the time to explain the process of carving while doing so. Amazing experience.
