Definitely would not go back. Bought a Groupon and the stylist (Bry) didn’t even get the correct product. The communication was already not great, had to wait (hair salon no biggie) but after all that and I let her know I was on my lunch break she just sits in her break room talking to all the other stylists eating her food while leaving the product for max amt of time…..which would’ve been great if it was the colored product I asked for but if she really wanted to do a good job I would’ve been under the heat dryer instead of just sitting there while she ate/talked but I didn’t get the feeling me n my hair were on the top her her list for that hour!

If you like a great local salon quiet and easy to get appointments this is the place for you. Try Salon Wisp. Nicole is always willing to work with you. Parking is no fun on the hills of Salem, but just take your time and you will find a spot.

Nicole Helm, stylist: she is kind and will listen to what you want. Amy, nail technician: has been in the business for a while and knows her stuff. These two will take care of you at this location. The service is very good, and the atmosphere is professional and quiet on most days. Like any service industry, be patient with your technicians and stylists. They need to get to know you, and you need to get to know them. Sometimes, that takes a couple of appointments to talk through your wants and needs. Sometimes, it is best to start small with a consult and work up to a big job you want done. The only drawback to the location is that the parking lot is always full due to the other businesses, and Commercial Street can get busy at times, so consider this when you make your appointments. Also, Salem is built on natural hills, so be careful in colder weather as there are many slippery surfaces, and parking becomes even more difficult. Take your time. There is handicapped parking available.
