I've shopped here somewhere around 10 times now, and have always enjoyed it. Staff in all areas have been helpful and knowledgeable. We started with some outdoor plants, then I recently discovered their wonderful indoor plant selection, and now I'm hooked on this place. Even if you just want a relaxing place to hang out for 30 minutes, I would recommend their indoor plant room, which is bright, warm, humid, and has nice jungle/bird music playing. ☀️ ?

To Dan E., Owner, Almost 30 days after my first review, I have had nothing but frustrating failure in my raised beds with Terra Gardens Premium soil. My tomatoes are ripening but the plants have only grown a few inches, and they are pathetic. Zucchini are yellow and not growing - no fruit. Cukes are yellow and growing VERY slow - no fruit. Carrots never grew over 2 inches. Green onions died at 2 inches. Radishes died at 1 inch. Had a soil sample tested and learned there is a HUGE lack of NITROGEN in this "premium" soil. The optimal range for Nitrogen is 32.0-60.0 - the soil test showed the Nitrogen at 2.85!!!!! There is no way to correct this problem by top or side dressing, it's too extreme. Potassium should be between 38.0-80.0 - soil test showed Potassium at 190.98!! Very very high! No wonder my plants are dying! How can I correct that? Sulfur amount should be 7.0-22.0 - soil test showed Sulfur at 3.81. Another reason my plants are dying. Consequently, my garden this year is a failure thanks to Terra Gardens. I am beyond sad at this point because there is nothing I can do. As a disabled veteran, I had to pay people to buy, haul, and fill my raised beds with this plant killing soil. Now I have to pay people to remove the soil, get a better product, and fill the raised beds for next year. I sure hope Terra Gardens is willing to help me in this frustrating situation.

They've spent quite a bit of time and money upgrading their landscape shop, including hardscape materials. A nice section of Bonsai materials as well as seasonal vegetable starts.

My friends are more experienced gardeners than myself, but thru the year I see the great customer service, plant value and delivery service that Terra Gardens provides. And newly remodeled Salem location. Highly recommend!

Very nice selection of plants! I was looking for roses and found several. They carry the Weeks brand. Good variety of other plants. We looked at Crape Myrtle , Eastern Red Bud and dogwood trees along with annuals and perennials. Very helpful and friendly staff wrapped each of our roses in plastic bags so the water wouldn't leak in the car. Prices were highest I 've seen but I will definitely be stopping there again for the selection, and I came all the way from Prineville Oregon.

We've been here twice in the last few days. It's a beautiful location with so many plants and extremely friendly/helpful employees. Just got this dogwood tree and I love it! We've also gotten flower baskets, peonies, herbs, and more. Definitely recommend!

I recently discovered this nursery when my sweet husband took me here randomly because he knew I'd love it. It is not close to me so it is a bit of a trek but it is worth the drive because they have a good selection and the staff are friendly and helpful. I really like their guarantee policy as well. I already spent quite a bit of money and plan to purchase more from here. Their plants all look healthy and so far, besides one plant, my plants are doing really well. Hopefully they all will make it. I really appreciate the online inventory list, although I am not sure how often it gets update (the last one was updated 5/1/23 and it is now 5/21) but it at least gives me an idea what might be available. I wish they had a way for us to get updated if something we want comes back in stock, however. But, nonetheless, I appreciate the list. The other thing I wish they would do is have some type of notification on the labels at the nursery if a plant is native to Oregon. Some nurseries have native plant areas or, at the very least, mark the labels highlighting native species. I try to plant as many natives as possible so that would be helpful to someone like me that is looking to choose more native species. Anyway, I enjoy coming here and appreciate all the help I've received.

I came in last month to get some bulk soil. I didn’t know what their process was (where to order, etc), so I let the gal at the register know that I’d like to get some soil but didn’t know what kind and I’d need help deciding. She asked what its for and I said my vegetable garden containers and beds. She said thats nursery blend and I bought 2 or 3 yards of that. Now looking at the website, I wish I would have gotten one of the bedding mixes instead. I thought the soil looked very light in comparison to others I’ve purchased. Maybe it is my fault for not pressing about the other options, but she was short with me and seemed confident that was the correct soil for my needs, so I didn’t question it until my truck was full of it. The soil itself is ok, I’m not sure how my vegetables and flowers will do in it. It has a fair amount of plastic too. Will update if my veggies are a total failure. Definitely get the bedding mix or the premium bedding mix and don’t trust the cashiers to help you make your decisions.

This garden store has everything you could want in plants and garden supplies. They have the largest selection of roses I have seen. Tuesday is senior day, with 10% off.

Attended the Bonsai Class and was really disappointed about the lack of actual information presented. This class was a basic repotting/pruning class. The instructor talked a lot about his missionary work, where he performs surgeries. It seemed odd to brag about performing surgery in a 3rd world country when you’re not a doctor.

It's a nursery. So, you know, there's that. But it's good. My partner wanted to get a new pot to transplant a spider plant that's growing like crazy. My partner has a brown/black thumb when it comes to plants, so she was super thrilled that she actually got one to live and thrive. We had checked out another nursey, which generally we love going to because the grounds are nice and they have a huge selection, but their pottery wasn't quite what we were looking for. At Terra Gardens, we found the same pottery as the other location, but also plenty of other styles. And, we noted, the prices were significantly less at Terra Gardens. My partner found a pot that she fell in love with. We wandered with our children some, but I don't think we hit half of the location. We were running errands all over that day, but we look forward to coming back and seeing what else is here. Especially now that my partner is more and more interested in taking up gardening and planting.
