“This is my favorite vintage store in downtown Salem. Christine is so friendly and always on hand to help look for specific things (orange dress for a wedding? She has a dozen options.) or she'll let you browse or she loves to just chat.
This shop feels welcoming because Christine owns and operates it. She has costumes and stuff to wear for everyday. She rotates her stock for the seasons. Nothing reeks of a thrift store: what a nice change to try on stuff that doesn't stink of urine/cleaning products! She's happy to shop for a specific thing you need while she sources. And she has a fashion show every April that you can watch or model in-- sounds fun to me!”
“Love shopping at My Sister's closet. Prices are very good for quality items. The store's jewelry items are unique and affordable. We also enjoy finding great bargains at the $5 rack. We love chitchatting with Teresa--the owner of the store.”

“I've gotten some really cute clothes here, they have trendy brands and dressing rooms. Service is usually good, but have had one person be a little rude. I'd still recommend coming in”
“First time visiting Rags to Riches and it wont be the last. This store has the best quality and selection of clothes in the area. All price points. Bags and shoes were amazing as well.”
“Incredibly kind staff and such a huge variety of vintage/nostalgic things. As an 80s kid, it was awesome. Brought all of our kids in too, and they found their own treasures. I wish we lived closer - this is exactly the type of collective thrift experience Im always hoping for. Don't miss it!”
“Great knickknack thrift store located in the heart of downtown Salem. The places has 2 floors and filled with lots of fun stuff. The prices are pretty decent for most of the items and the selection was pretty good.
It’s definitely not a spot for furniture (although there is some for sale), but a great place for smaller decor items, vintage toys, and a small selection of clothing.”
“This is such a different experience from any other thrifting experience. I had absolutely no idea what to expect walking in there and my mind was blown. The staff are great and keep the place organized and orderly. There are people here making a living by diving and buying. Most items are sold by weight at a cheap price. Found a few decent items. If you like thrifting and are in the area you absolutely have to check this out. Unlike any other experience. Enjoy and good luck.”
“Wow, the customer service and the store's organization were awesome. Like, the clothes were sorted by color and size, which was super helpful when I was in a hurry. The store was really clean too!”
“I've been to Salems Plato's Closet three separate times recently within the last 30 days hoping to sell some clothing items and earn extra cash. I was please you happy with the cash offers each time and the friendliness of all staff at register areas. I observed the three employees each visit working together and answering my questions. They were friendly and prompt. Thank you and I'll be back!! You guys do a fine job!”
“Simply THE very best vintage store I have ever seen, and had the ability to afford! I got a tailored 3 piece suit from the 70’s, a CUSTOM Ruby Firecat leather jacket from the 80’s, maroon wingtips that were so well cared for they had the TAG! As well as other amazing stuff! Such good prices and all fits like it was made for me alone. I could not add enough stars to this review! Thank you so very much.”
