A wonderful, welcoming place to learn pottery and find community. Classes available with highly knowledgeable instructors. They have high fire, midrange and raku firings; combined with studio tech Doug’s beautiful glazes.
Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing community, studio, education, and supplies for sale. The monitors (there’s always someone monitoring either doing open studio or classes) are very friendly and welcoming. The instructors are well informed, kind, and patience. I know the board is working on making even more inclusive changes, community engagement, and access for open studio. If you’re interested in making anything with clay, I cannot recommend WAC enough.

Purchased a pottery piece at the fair, took them hours to put it in the kiln so we decided we would pick it up at a later date that their sign said they would be open. Drove 1.5 hours from home to them to pick the piece up only to find them closed and no one answering the phone. They called me back the next day as I left a message and I asked if they would mail me the piece I’ve paid for since I drove 3 hours and they were closed on a day they posted they would be open, but they promptly said they won’t mail it.I asked the volunteer on the phone to escalate and have someone with authority to figure out how to refund me to contact me and it’s been over a week now. I guess these guys are okay with business fraud and not taking care of their customers. I understand issues may arise and stuff happens but it’s absolutely no excuse to deny refunding or fixing an issue that you are responsible for as a vendor. Will never purchase from them again.

Pottery and clay have literally changed my life and I have the Willamette Art Center to thank for that. I took a class during COVID in 2020 and that got me hooked, since then I’ve taken multiple classes and it has been an amazing experience each time. Doug and Nicki are great teachers and always encourage you to explore your creativity. I always recommend their classes to my friends.

More than 12 small pieces got lost. Nikki was not helpful l at all, other staff try to find them with me but she was definitely not even interested of helping me out. I move out town and it is really hard for me to go but I was trying my best, I left them for longer than a month and came for them couldn't find them, call a couple of times as they told me to contact Nikki but she was not there whenever I called, finally after a couple of weeks trying I was able to reach here and she was just not even interested or curious about what I was needed. I will leave less stars for her, but the rest of the staff is pretty nice so that is why I decided to leave 3 stars instead.

I am sharing this testimony to partners suffering in their relationships because there is an enduring solution. My husband left me and my kid for another woman for 2 years. I tried to be strong just for my kid but I could not control the pains that torment my heart. I was hurt and confused. I needed a help, so i did a research on the internet and came across a site where I saw that Dr Marvis spellcaster, can help get ur lovers back. I contacted him and he did a special prayer and spells for me. To my surprises, after some days, my husband came back home. And apologize for everything he has make me Gon through he can also help you by reaching him on his Facebook page

The Willamette Art Center is the only place in town where one can experience hands in the complete process of making ceramics. From Wheel throwing, sculpting, or hand building ceramics. Take one of the several classes offered by exceptional instructions or create your art using studio time. The WAC, Is a relaxed and friendly environment with a wonderful artist working studio for folks of all ages. It’s one of the best places in town to discover and explore your artist talents and soooooooo rewarding. The WAC is my happy place for 18 years and counting.willametteartcenter.com

I’m so glad Salem has a place anyone can come work with clay and do their pottery! Even though I hadn’t touched it for years until now, I could easily revisit the craft at WAC- they offer different options for buying an open studio pass to use all their equipment for on-your-own work, or offer classes with instruction. You can buy your clay from them, buy used or new tools, use their all their equipment/wheels/glazes, etc, and get items fired for a small fee. Well equipped studio. I was nervous/worried about bringing a group of first-time wheel throwers for a day of fun with clay, but both staff members on a Friday were extremely nice and happy to have us! Happy everyone abides with masks too, will be back.

It was hot but fun... A little spendy on the food side of things.
