Loved the mini carts for the kids & the cashier's were super nice and gave out stickers 🙂
The only thing I hated was they don't take WIC.

It’s so nice to be able to get affordable outdoor plants I got a gorgeous Peachtree already budding and blooming for under 30 bucks and in the past I’ve gotten cherry & apple trees all of which have produced grapefruit

This grocery outlet just seems so bad compared to the one in St. Helens. First off the prices are more expensive than Fred Meyer and even Safeway. I was comparing the two apps while I was in there. 5 dozen eggs were 34.99. currently Fred Meyer and Safeway are both $23... 1 pound of breakfast sausage was 5.99 Fred Meyer is 3.99...
Just seems like it was way over priced for a grocery outlet.
I was looking at the cheese and I found at least 4 different types that were molding and rancid. I picked up a feta cheese and the package was open leaving me covered in nasty rotten, rancid, spoiled, cheese juices.... The employees laughed, offered me hand sanitizer. I did not see anyone make any effort to go clean up the area as all the feta cheeses were so rancid the packages were bursting open. I will never shop there again.

I’ll take my business to the St. Helens Grocery Outlet. I’ve lived in scappoose for five years now and in general the store is functional…kind of. The biggest problem are the associates, in particular the women. Three of them the brunette with glasses (works most evenings), the blonde with glasses (works most evenings), the shorter blonde one (works mostly days), and the one male who works mostly in the evenings. More often than not these associates are off-putting. When checking out no engagement, no hello…it’s like I’m annoying them for grocery shopping. When people are in the checkout one is stone faced/blank stare and the other is eating not acknowledging the line that has formed. To sum it up they’re rude, and annoyed to work. Before shopping now I’ll see who is working, usually a new kid is working the check stand, if so I’ll go in and quick shop just to avoid the typical evening associates. St. Helens grocery outlet is far better stocked, more variety and in general cordial. I’ll take the 15 minutes out of my way to drive on way and shop there now. Im done with the scappoose store, the five minute interaction at the end with the associates are enough to ruin it.

Cashier did not talk to me at all until she asked for payment. That was weird and a bit uncomfortable but you never know what had gone on in her day prior to helping me. They didn't have the panda toilet paper 🐼 🧻 I was after! How dare them! Store was clean and spacious. Weird parking lot.

If you really pay attention you can save a ton shopping here. You won't find everything on your list, and you might not find the exact brands or flavors you're looking for, but if you go up and down the aisles, there are some really good deals. Especially in the frozen food sections.

Lots of unique snacks and such here among other routine items. This place is clean and well organized. Their produce always looks pretty nice as well. If you come here after work, expect to wait in line. There are usually only one or two checkers.

This is my go to grocery store. The produce is fresh and reasonably priced. With weekly digital coupons I save a bundle.
Friendly faces at checkout gives me a good feeling about the community.
Grocery shopping has never been my favorite activity, but Fred Meyers in Scappoose makes it a surprising pleasant outing.
