WAUNA is a friendly local credit union, my home branch is Astoria, but I had to get a cashiers check while making a big purchase in Vancouver, and this Scapoose branch was the closest. Easy to find, small parking lot, I was greeted as I entered and was helped immediately. Quick, friendly and efficient. ATM available thru first door. So I appreciate having several local branches; the drawback with WAUNA in general is their poor interest rate pay and putting ridiculous stipulations on earning it - mainly requiring you to use a debit card several times each month in order to trigger interest. I mean, WHO PAYS with a debit card when you want to get those airline miles!? And its not competitive rate. So I dont keep any real money here. I did appreciate that they did not put a hold on external transfer of cash from the place I DO keep my real money to WAUNA.

Unfortunate experience and lots of waisted time. Texting back and for a loan is not the way to do things. Being told one thing on the phone and picking up a packet with different information with no instructions is poor customer service.

I have been a member with this credit union for years. It was great bank at first and still has some good things about it.Pro'sFriendly in person customer serviceknowledgeable about their productsClean interiorFast serviceCon'sConstantly they have issues with their app.Off and on problems with their limited ATM'sConstant problems with on-line bankingReformat how things post all the time.Also their fraud prevention unit will cut the card off for purchases you do not normally make, and if there is multiple uses in a row. Like mine was just shut down for 3 .99 purchase in a row. Unfortunately they are not open on the weekend so you can not call them to fix this or go in to fix this. I tried to go on-line and try to fix it this way and they are closed through on-line as well. I used the phone number on the back of the card but when you push the number needed to get to fraud prevention it gives a fax sound in your ear. If you push the number three to get help with your card because it tells you to the system says it does not recognize that number. I tried to get a 1 time code to fix it through e-mail but the code never showed up, i tried it several times after waiting 30 minutes for the code. I tried to get it text to me but the text never showed up. It shows in their on line system that the e-mail and phone number is correct but when you finally get a hold of someone they say it does not show a phone number or e-mail you will have to talk to member services but they are closed until Monday. Very frustrating to not be able to access your money when you need to! They are so behind you can easily have problems getting things done with them about 2 to 3 times a month. Not just speaking about my experience but also my sons who when sent a 1 time password to set up his app. It did not work. Then he called and they verbally gave him one and that did not work. They said you will have to come in so he did. While they set it up that day he was able to access it. Then the next time said wrong password. Again they could not get the 1 time password to work and said he needs to come in. Who has the time to always go and fix their problems. Stay away from the problems of this bank . If you are the type to just let your money set and never need to get it then it could work for you!Pro's customer service is nice, the building is clean. That is where it ends.

1. Put my card on hold at 8pm while I was on a road trip. Didn't get notified and didn't have access to my funds. After hours line couldn't help and a STRANGER put 20$ in my tank 2. Took 3 weeks to cash my check when I got a new job then repeatedly called asking when I was going to make my car payment. But I couldn't. Because they wouldn't release my funds. 3. Took away shared branching without notifying and once again left me without access to my funds. I've been a member for the last 7 years, but it's time to say goodbye. There just isn't an excuse for withholding people's money from them, and the complete lack of communication. Time to start looking for a new bank or credit union. Full disclosure I also posted this on google reviews 9 months ago, saying that they would contact branch services to see what happened. I got no follow up. Had to call today to order a new card and once again they changed how they operate and it is now 10$ for a new card.

Used to love banking here. Always been super fair however, apparently you're a huge inconvenience to them when you ask them to stop pulling random amounts on random dates from your account for your credit card that is barely past due, DURING A PANDEMIC. Then, when you finally get to talk to the lady in charge of the credit cards, for the THIRD time, she gives you a snotty attitude and said "you signed for this in the contract when you got the card". Horrible customer service and horrible terms and conditions. I'm going to take my business elsewhere asap.

I recommend Wauna Community Credit union for people who need a loan. The staff is very professional and attentive. My first experience with Wauna was very good and that's the reason we decided to have our second loan with them and my loan was much bigger and approved fast. Katheryn was very helpful and attentive. She made the process very smooth and quick. My dad and I highly recommend Wauna!
