“Beautiful. Can be muddy and slippery. Need shoes that can get wet/muddy and stable footing. Not good for mobility challenged. No elevation gain on hikes. No dogs allowed. Limited parking. Leave no trace.”

“Visited this American Legion for their Memorial Day service & I quite enjoyed the effort that this Legion put into the event. I really appreciated the wreath ceremony for the son that was lost in Afghanistan - condolences to his father who spoke. Everyone was welcoming & they had a free spaghetti lunch after the service. It was also fairly well attended for a small community & I suspect that the Legion placed most (if not all) the flags up around town for Memorial Day. Clearly the Vets care. The Legion was quite a large facility with a dance floor, a bar, a kitchen, and a band area. They also had various picture displays showing men and women who served in more recent wars from Seaside & a metal plaque of the men who served in WW1 from Seaside. This is more a curiosity than anything else - I wonder why there weren't Iraq/Afghanistan Vets present... most of the Vets that were displaying what war they were a part of were from Vietnam (early vs. later years). Therefore, a bulk of the crowd looked to be in their 70's-80's. Not clear why younger folks don't go there.”
