Please reply and let me know what number I can call / email address I can contact to get in touch further about my issue. I’ve been a customer at this Safeway for years and never had any problems. I have always thought the service was very pleasant. That has changed in the past year. A woman behind the deli counter (name Jessie) has consistently made my experience sour and it’s to the point where I will be taking my business elsewhere. Every interaction I have with this woman is unpleasant. Safeway needs to teach its employees a thing or two about service if it wants to stay in the game!

Well organized and easily accessible supermarket. It offers a wide range of fresh products, from vegetables to meat, with particular attention to quality. The shelves are well stocked and the staff is generally courteous. However, being located in a shopping mall, it can get crowded during peak hours. Ideal for a quick shopping in a comfortable environment.

Worst customer service and very unfriendly staff. Was at this Seaside Safeway late night between 11:00pm and 12:00am (closing) on Aug. 23. Had 17 items in my cart and tried to use self-checkout (15 items) ... Safeway person told me NO and to use Checkout Lane 1 cashier ... I was THE only ONE in line for self-check-out ... NO ONE else was in line ... there were 6 OPEN self-checkout registers AND there were only a handful of customers in the enrire store. The extra 2 items would only take me another 5 seconds to scan ... maybe 5 min tops to scan all my 17 items. Unfriendly lady told me NO ... insisted I go to Checkout Lane 1 ... where another very unfriendly cashier (man) with a very poor attitude (clearly showed like he didn't like working there) simply scanned my items and roughly threw my grocery items into the bag ... placed my stuff on the checkout area and told me how much I owed and then just handed me my receipt ... only 2 times he uttered words were plastic or paper, and then you owe $X amount ... looked away and expected you to get out of his face. Also had 2 other bad experiences of poor customer service and bad attitudes/manners with a Coffee Cafe and Sandwich Shop earlier in the day (see Yelp for other folks poor reviews of these places - common theme of poor service and bad attitudes and manners) ... I know there are many very good people and businesses in Seaside but it's these other people (rotten apples) that will give Seaside a bad reputation for being unfriendly to visitors from other places!

Do not doordash from here. They list items and brands not available. You will get your items refunded and doordash will try to keep your fees paid. I literary had them refund every item for not being in stock for a $85 order. No items received. They refunded $19and are keeping the remainder. This Safeway has their own brands but they aren’t updated or listed correctly on here.

Great store. Higher prices than most other Safeways I've been at, but it makes up for it by being such a needed amenity in a small sea side town.

So disappointed . On vacation from Tucson. Bought a Dungeness crab. Asked butcher to please clean it. No problem. Weighed before cleaning. A few hours later (after lunch oking forward to sharing a delicious crab). Pulled it out of fridge and the claws (on the crab we purchased and paid for) were not in our package. What a disappointment. And now, not a full meal for two. We are on vaca, in our Jammies, and now what?

Edited for 1 star. Do better Safeway. Employee today who was 2 hrs late due for their lunch and was nearly passing out doing check out. Let people on their breaks, nobody's health is less important than a grocery store and if there's nobody for the counter staff the store more or send the manager out to do their job.

Their $14 foam boogie boards are defective DO NOT BUY!
Ronnie gave me the absolute worst customer service experience I’ve ever dealt with! When I interacted with him I personally noticed that he does NOT possess the qualities of character to be a manager! If anything he needs to manage his own customer service skills! He is truly unfit for the job as Ronnie tried to make me out to be a liar over a petty , defective 14 dollar foam board. Ronnie is a major liability to Safeway-Albertsons corporation ,Cerberus Capital Management and all other related investors who needs lessons in the basic fundamental core values of customer treatment .
Marion Barton Skaggs would roll over in his grave if he had witnessed the way Ronnie treated me over this! Ronnie has lost my family and friends future business over this mistreatment, I will go out of my way to avoid giving any business to all Safeways and Albertsons I come across , I will also be rearranging our families trust accounts and stock portfolios because if “Ronnies” are the types of people you place in positions like this you will definitely be loosing business over time just me and my family alone spend about $400-600 @ month on average just in groceries another 400+ in fuel……$14 exchange? Well you do the math because Ronnie can’t , I was also anticipating to purchase 5 of the non-defective 28 dollar boogie boards that day , Safeway needs to do the right thing and discard or send the cheap defective boogie boards back to the vendor you are selling for!
