All around bad experience with the staff. Starting with the deli, the woman helping me seemed annoyed that I wanted her to slice meat from the turkey that was on sale instead of giving me the one that was already cut for four dollars more a pound. Strike one. She then gave me .65 pounds of turkey after I asked for a half pound. Not a big deal, but we are traveling without a cooler and this is our last night here. Strike two. Then, at the checkout, the dude was very nonplussed about me mentioning the sale price that for some reason didn’t end up on the deli sticker. Instead of walking over and looking for himself, he decided to call a manager over which turned into like a seven minute fiasco. He was extraordinarily rude and didn’t apologize for wasting my time. Definitely choosing a different grocery store next time in Seaside

It said on the sign that it was 1.39 a wing. Yet the person behind the counter wouldn't sell less than a pound. I told her it was on the menu and she didn't believe me, then she walkedto look at the sign and just sat there looking at the sign in disbelief while I just walked away because my lunch break was ending. Thanks anyways safeway

Stopped in to pickup a quick meal to cook at our VRBO. The selection of beef to grill at the meat counter was only strips and ribeye. Counter guy was very clumsy about wrapping up the meat. Good thing we were cooking it right away.

We picked up fruit and some lunch items such as pre-made sandwiches here. My child really liked the plain roast beef cheese on a Hawaiian roll here.

I'm not a huge fan of any Kroger-based supermarket. I don't feel that an organization that large with buying power that strong is treating its customers fairly by having higher prices, near-monopolistic control of the local grocery market, and gimmicky methods of offering savings.

I used to go to this Safeway when I lived here about eighteen years ago. It definitely got renovated over the years for the better but I got two complaints. The prices are much higher than other nearby Safeways because of tourism. Very stupid. I'm a meat cutter where I live at a Raley's and they're very similar to Safeway. One of the meat guys (possibly the meat manager) was outside smoking in his smock and apron! That is not sanitary. We're told to always take your smock and apron off before going outside. Especially when you're smoking. I'd definitely not be buying meat there.

I went to the deli to get some sliced meat. The ham that I wanted was not one of the six pre-sliced choices in the trays up front. When I asked the man for “the Virginia ham, please, and sliced a little thicker than what I see there,” you’d have thought I asked him to WALK to the processing plant in Idaho to get ham for me! The irritation and disgust were just dripping off of him. What does he think his job is? To instruct customers in what they can or cannot purchase based on his convenience?? If you have another option to this store, I recommend you take it.

I recently had a shopping experience at my local Safeway store, and overall, it was a solid and enjoyable experience. Safeway provided a range of positive aspects that made my visit convenient and pleasant. One of the standout features of Safeway was the cleanliness and organization of the store. The aisles were well-maintained, and products were neatly stocked, making it easy to navigate and find what I needed. The store's layout was logical and intuitive, enhancing the overall shopping experience.Furthermore, Safeway offers a diverse selection of products. Whether it was fresh produce, pantry staples, or household items, I found a wide variety of options to choose from. The quality of the products was generally good, and the store's commitment to offering both well-known brands and affordable store-brand alternatives was appreciated.Another positive aspect was the friendly and helpful staff at Safeway. From the moment I entered the store, the employees were attentive and willing to assist. They were knowledgeable about product locations and were readily available to answer any questions or provide recommendations. Their customer service added to the overall positive experience.Additionally, Safeway's digital services, such as their online shopping and home delivery options, were convenient and reliable. These services allowed me to shop from the comfort of my home and have groceries delivered directly to my doorstep, saving time and effort. However, there were a few areas where Safeway could improve. Occasionally, some popular items were out of stock, which was slightly disappointing. It would be beneficial if Safeway could ensure better inventory management to avoid such situations. In conclusion, my shopping experience at Safeway was generally positive. The store's cleanliness, well-organized layout, diverse product selection, and helpful staff contributed to an enjoyable visit. With a few minor improvements in inventory management, Safeway could further enhance the overall shopping experience. I would recommend Safeway to others looking for a reliable and convenient grocery shopping option.

Seaside Safeway is my go to place at least 4-5 times a week. I usually visit the Deli for a hot sandwich. Jamie, (maybe Jackie) 40ish, brown braid, goes out of her way to make me my favorite sandwich. She never passes the task on to anyone else and has a happy disposition even on cold dreary days. My hats off to her, and Safeway, thank you for such a pleasant employee. She's truly an asset to your store.

Scary comments. I'm afraid to shop there. The replies from management seem empty and bogus.
