This spot has most equipment you need to throw iron around. I love how old school this facility is, brings me back memories to Gold gym and another gym in Maui Upcountry fitness. Anyways this is a mom and pop shop. This is not your prestige/boujie La fitness or La style gym. This is to get your workout done and out. Daily fee is $10 a bit steep, 2 weeks is $70. Great spot to get your pump in!

I signed up with a personal trainer, Michelle, about a year ago and it has changed my life! I use to go to a chiropractor at least 3 times a month because of my back. Michelle has worked carefully with me to help strengthen my muscles and flexibility. After 2 months, I was no longer needing the chiropractor. I feel so much better and have lost inches where it was needed. Each training session she gives me positive input and pushes me when needed. Thank you Michelle!

I visited my sister in Seaside and found this little gem of a gym. The vibe here is really welcoming and accesible! Michelle the owner, the staff, and especially the regular clients (who all introduced themselves to me with a handshake and smile) allowed me to have a great workout and wanting to return. The gym is clean and the online schedule is very user friendly and informative. The instructors were really great, and as I am a "class/group" exerciser, I really valued that. So, if in Seaside, do not hesitate to try this gym out...either for classes, or self-paced work on the gym floor! Have a great time!

We traveled to Astoria for a long weekend and wanted a spin class on Friday morning. Sunset Family Fitness in Seaside had two classes - one at 6:00 AM and one at 9:00 AM. We did the 9 am class with Michele, the owner, and it was excellent. A great small club with quite the assortment of machines, free weights, treadmills and on-going classes. There was a dance class before spin and a yoga class right after the cycle class. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I'm from Seattle where I've only been to really commercialized gyms. This place is a gem. The equipment is vintage, and the moment you walk into the gym, you see the wooden sticks for shoulder mobility so you can tell the place has been open for a while, and that's super awesome because the equipment is reminiscent of the golden era bodybuilding days. I'm only 21 so I've never seen the Body Masters line before so it was exciting to workout in a gym like this. The old school vibes were real and I got an awesome squat session in. They have one free weight squat rack, a smith machine squat rack, a dedicated barbell row platform (which I used for RDL's), a front hack squat (so rare!), one incline barbell bench press, 2 flat benches, dumbbells that go up to 100lbs (maybe 105, couldn't tell), a leg press, seated calf machine, leg abductors and adductors, a machine pec deck, preacher curl, a cable station, lat pull down, and other assorted pull and push machines. Oh and they have a t-bar row land mine and machine. They also have a machine lateral deltoid raise machine which is awesome. In terms of accessory items, they have a dip belt, which (and I know I'm being repetitive) is awesome. Being able to do weighted pull-ups and dips while traveling is a joyous occasion. They also have an arm blaster and a shake weight lol. If you're into calisthenics, they have pretty tall parallettes. The only things I wished for was a lying hamstring curl and standing calf raise, but otherwise, I couldn't ask for a better gym. Another reviewer complained about old cardio equipment, but come on, you're in Seaside Oregon, go run along the seaside! And if your joints hurt, run on the sand haha. But if you are into cardio, they have stationary bikes, row machines, an old school step master thing, treadmills and that weird running thing where you aren't really taking steps. Oh and they have foam rolls for post workout. Bottom line is that I hate to see such a nice gym get average ratings. This place is dope, and I'll definitely be coming here when I return to Seaside. Props to the owner and the guy at the front desk; he gave me a student discount (10%)!
