My advice to the owner: don't run a toy store if you don't want kids to touch your toys. I told my three year old he can choose one of the toy cars displayed in their window. He is pretty careful for a 3 year old and as he's holding two different models an employee came up and told us that kids should not touch the toys because they can drop and break. We were there to make a purchase but with such rude employees we left and found something else at another store.

Bought a kite to fly at the beach. It was overpriced, and all of the instructions for assembly were in different languages. Take your money elsewhere.

I've been going to this store since before. my children were born several times a year to buy fun things. I spend around $50 each visit. Recently I went in with my 7 year old disabled son, and it was the last straw. Multiple times that I've gone in there an employee has made comments about the things my child is doing. Because he is disabled he makes unusual sounds and draws attention. Many times he's asked my child not to touch things that he has not asked my 4 year old daughter and other children not to. My son is in a wagon instead of a wheelchair and this time we were asked to leave because of the wagon. When I described that my son is disabled, the employee said the wagon didn't fit around the shelves and we were blocking people. There was no one else in the store at the time. We have NEVER had this issue at any other business. People everywhere else are genuinely helpful. Save your money for a store that educates their employees against discrimination.

As a few others have also posted. This place is not kid friendly. They had issues with our stroller and my son was touching their toy cars to decide which one he wanted and we got told NO GO. This is to bad as we are locals and would never go back after this.

If I could give this a zero stars I would. Worst customer service I’ve ever received in a store. EVER. This guy behind the counter couldn’t even interact in a normal way whatsoever. I want to tell him, if you can’t handle the public in a respectful manner then don’t operate a tourist shop in a tourist town. Very unkind, assumes the worst in every potential customer, rude to kids, rude to adults, and just overall completely unprofessional. Literally yelled at customers in the store.

I felt targeted the entire time I was in the shop and kept getting nasty looks from the worker.

So if you own a toy store and have an abundance of toys (toys of every kind for any age, pretty much anything you could think of) beach toys, stuffed animals, kites, puzzles, balls, musical instruments, books, arts and crafts, jewelry and a glow in the dark stars etc. Why on earth would you expect children not to touch them? You put these small childrens tables out with toys on top and have cubbies from the floor to almost the ceiling with toy cars practically encouraging little people to touch and you seriously expect them to touch nothing? My son was so excited to look for a new car, he needed to see how they felt to make his best choice, and he was told not to touch the cars. Even with 2 adults next to him watching him to make sure he was being respectful and not causing damage to something we would potentially not be purchasing. Your staff was so rude standing right next to us making sure we weren't going to let me touch anything else. If you own a toy store and don't want kids touching anything, then maybe not display them in ways that encourage play. You have an amazing variety of toys, but we will not be back as we did not feel welcomed. I'm sad to see that several other people have had similar experiences and nothing has been done about it.

Go to the Christmas shop across the street! Same great selection of toys and the staff there actually greet you with a smile!

My children were not allowed to touch the toys. Rude staff. We left within just a few minutes of being in the store. I used to come to this shop every time I visited Seaside. Very disappointed. I had every intention of purchasing a toy. They’ve lost a customer and I will not be returning.

Though this store has a decent selection of over-priced toys, the staff have been rude both of the times I have visited. My daughter set a toy on the floor to look at something else and a man working there barked at her to not put toys on the floor, which I understand, but later when we were testing a rolling toy on the floor he barked at us again to not put toys on the floor. I probably won't be back.

If I could give this place a negative 0 I would. Went there today with my sister and the atmosphere was TERRIBLE. The wife and husband (owners) were super rude, they hovered and made comments to us not to touch the toys, they gave us dirty looks, hovered and watched us like creeps, after making the experience super uncomfortable and finding out my sister left because of how uneasy they made her feel, I dropped all the toys I was going to purchase and left. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IVE LITERALLY EVER HAD, WILL NOT BE COMING BACK OR RECOMMENDING THIS STORE TO ANYBODY. Please take your money else where where other small business will appreciate your business and treat you better.

Don't go if you're local. I bought a jigsaw puzzle that was too big for my space. Brought it back unused, in perfect condition and with their tag on it. Just asked if I could exchange for 2 or more smaller puzzles and said I would pay any additional cost. A emphatic no. I was excited to find a cozy place to get my puzzles...this is not going to be it.

If I could, I would leave zero stars. As soon as I enter the store, an employee kept staring at me and walked past me to complain about the store being a mess, I assume she went to the owner to say something about me, because he then started following me around and watching me as if I was going to steal. I was waiting for my daughter to pick out a toy. He then proceeded to tell me my daughter can’t touch the toys because they could break and I would have to pay for them. I got upset and left myself. Didn’t wanna give these people my money.

Went in to buy a kite while on vacation, wife opened a kite package that wasn't sealed to check if all the pieces were there. Manager immediately comes running by to scold her. We buy a kite anyways, overpay for said sub quality kite and take it to the beach. Opening the package to assemble the kite, we discover it's missing about 4 pieces making it completely useless. We come back to the shop, it's closed early and the staff is counting out the till. We stand there for a bit trying to get their attention, finally one of the employees looks up with utter disgust and annoyance at us and says to come back tomorrow, they're closed. I tell them loud enough through the glass that they sold me a kite with missing parts. She rolls her eyes and continues ignoring us. Highly doubt that they would replace the kite to make it right after seeing the other reviews about this place. If I could give this a lower rating I would. Don't waste your money here, it's not family friendly or kid friendly. These owners are in the wrong business.

I was shopping in this store like I tend to do when I come to Seaside. My daughter was picking out a stuffed animal for her birthday and was deciding which one. A man who said he was the manager came up and told me that I couldn’t stand in one spot with my sleeping 2 year old in a stroller while we looked at the stuffed animals. I asked how I was supposed to shop if I couldn’t stop and look at things and he informed me that it was busy and I would need to keep moving and there was nothing else he was going to say to me and walked away. I went to the counter to get the owners name and number because, that’s utterly RIDICULOUS and the guy behind the counter was rude right off the bat and said that I couldn’t stand in one spot. I asked how I was supposed to shop if I couldn’t stop and look at the toys and he said, “I get what you’re saying but it’s just too bad.” then REFUSED to give me the owners name and number. I was polite and calm the whole time and was honestly shocked. I’ve spent so much money in this store over the years and they just don’t care. Heres a hint, go to the store next door to the mall. They have so many of the same toys for a way cheaper price and the lady was super polite and told us she hears people complaining about that store all the time. What a joke this store is and the “manager” is just a sad little man.
