Our experience with Sue was extremely disappointing and stressful. I entrusted her with my wedding dress in the beginning of 2024 and did not receive it back until the end of October 2024, just two weeks before my wedding. I also asked her to create a veil using my mother’s wedding dress, and she assured me she could handle this special request. Unfortunately, the entire process was marked by poor communication, including canceled appointments and delayed responses.
At my dress and veil fitting appointment, the dress was beautifully done, but I later realized the veil was not made from my mom’s wedding dress. Sue had mistakenly swapped my veil with another bride’s. After much back and forth, she eventually returned a veil—but it still wasn’t made from my mother’s dress. I was devastated to learn that my mom’s wedding dress had been completely lost. Sue claimed the cleaner was responsible, but as the professional handling such a cherished item, the ultimate responsibility lies with her.
To make matters worse, the veil I received had a strong odor of cat urine, as Sue keeps a cat in her shop. A week before my wedding, I had to spend four hours redoing the veil myself to achieve the look I had originally requested.
Despite the emotional distress and inconvenience, Sue has not taken accountability or made any meaningful effort to address this situation. Losing a family heirloom is heartbreaking, and I cannot recommend her services to anyone seeking reliable, professional, or respectful treatment of their belongings.

Sue was so so sweet & her shop cat was even cuter!!
I brought my dress in to be hemmed, new cups & bustled. The hem job was absolutely amazing, as well as the new cups! The bustle broke about 3 hours into my wedding which was unfortunate. I was also charged $175 for steaming that i didn’t need since i would be able to do it myself, so maybe make sure to state if you want/need it steamed.
But over all Sue was a great person & i would recommend her for cups & hemming any day!!

She was a very nice lady! And she did a good job but she only had to take in my dress and put some snaps on the cape which totaled 45$. She charged me 55.00$ for steaming my dress which was brand new and a rush fee of 75.00$ . I didn't ask for it to be steamed or ask to have a rush put on it . She's the one that set the date for me to come get my dress! Just make sure you ask before hand how much she charges . I was in a hurry so I didn't look at the receipt! I will never use this person again!

I am getting my wedding dress altered by Sue. She was so kind and easy to talk to! She was patient with me and clear in her instructions to make the experience fun and memorable. And she is so affordable compared to what I was quoted from David's bridal! Thank you so much Sue!
10/10 would recommend!

She has a shop cat, and it smells like cat urine inside. The cat was playing with pieces of the dress while making adjustments to the alterations, which could have ruined the dress in itself. I don’t mind animals at all, but I didn’t like that I had to spend well over 30 minutes plucking cat hair out of the dress. The dress turned out pretty decent other than a tear she couldn’t fix on some of the lace and a couple of loose buttons, and thankfully didn’t smell like a litter box.

Experience was a nightmare. A huge lack of communication and then when you were finally able to reach her she told you one thing and then would say something totally different at the appointment. She was not friendly and overcharged for the low quality we received. Would not recommend unless you need additional stress for your wedding.

All the good things to say about this place and owner. Sue works very quickly to help adjust even the smallest things. I worked with her for my wedding dress, and she made my dreams come true. Sue was even very accommodating when last minute my mom needed her dress altered. Not only is her work amazing, she is very kind and has the cutest space. Thank you so much Sue! I cannot recommend this place enough! Sue is absolutely amazing at what she does! She helped me on my wedding dress and and after talking about what I should have done to it she made it look absolutely perfect on me, she is truly the best and kindest person with the cutest little shop!

I have called multiple times a week for over 3 weeks to try to make an appointment. Not once has she answers her phone, and her voicemail box is always full so you can’t leave a voicemail for a return call.Edit: within 2 hours of making this review, she reached out to me and is able to get me in within 24 hours for an appointment. So I upgraded from 1 to 3 stars.

My friend suggested this place for altering my wedding dress, and I though it was just going to be the basic alterations: length, width, train, cup inserts, etc. However, when I got screwed over by the bridal shop, I needed a lot more than just the basic alterations. Everything about my wedding dress was great, except the back. The reason, I chose the one I chose was because it had a low back with these beautiful embellished straps that criss cross.
But the one I received had all the criss cross straps in the back connected by sheer tulle. I hate tulle. I was told other alterations people that it would not be possible to remove with tulle without compromising the entire structure of the dress.
But when I took the dress to Sue, she explained to me that it would be possible to remove to the tulle as well as do the other regular alterations. And she didn't even need a ton of time to do it either.
Before taking the dress home, she had me do a final try on to make sure I loved everything about it, and I did. The straps on the back hung beautifully without that ugly tulle holding them in place. Finally, Sue's prices are super reasonable. For everything that she did, the bill wasn't more than a couple hundred, for cheaper than any other alterations place.
We were a little hesitant about this place at first partially due to the long drive to Silverton. But trust me guys, the drive is worth it. Sue will not disappoint.
