This is a chain of custody matter to prove a package was handed off to a third party prior to transfer to the carrier. If the package never tracks or arrives, a receipt proving the package was tendered by the authorized shipping outlet is the customer’s first and best remedy. I would happily pay for this form of “insurance,” recognizing the value of Pony Express as the only drop-off point in town for FedEx and UPS shipments.”
