I lived at this complex with my 3 children .. at first nothing was as better we had a unit that I believe was almost new , we were told that only one fam had lived there before us and for only a few months. We were in 317 30th St Apt A. I believe. Anyway , I lived there over 12 months , paid my rent every month on time , then went month to month.. now , I had to put up a very large deposit when I moved in and they even let me pay that by taking it on to my rent for the first 4-5 months. So after I had a stroke in June 2012 , I went to the office and said ..". Hey I have to move back to Portland. " I was on chemo and heart meds and 70 mg a day of Prednisone and blood thinner . I needed to move back in with family because raising 3 kids alone was no longer an option. The manager grabbed my file from a desk and said , " well, it looks like you have a huge deposit plus first and last paid so if you have to move out immediately , we will call it a wash. .. you don't owe us and we won't give back any deposits. I was ok with this just as long as I didn't owe anything to move out. I asked him if he was sure he shook his head and said yes ... We shook on it and I said thanks very much and he wished me well in Portland. Now, I came. Back to Portland got all better and after about 3 years I said I'm gonna get my own place or with a roommate cuz my business was booming and I could afford to pay 600 a month to split an apartment with someone. I went and applied and thought surely I'm a shoe in , well the next day the manager called and said you are denied
...I went to the complex and asked why and they said to look at the back ground check and call the number on it. When I called it was a collection agency that said I owed them 3700 dollars because I didn't pay my fees when I moved out of Brentwood... I called Brentwood and got no help. I asked the collection people and the people that did the application verification if I can do anything and they said no UNTIL THIS IS PAID IN FULL NO MANAGEMENT COMPANY WILL APPROVE YOU PERIOD. ..BUT WAIT THEY SAID I DIDNT OWE ANYTHNG. !!!?!! TURNS OUT THAT THEY HAD NEVER DONE A.MOVE IN INSPECTION AND NEVER DONE A MOVE OUT INSPECTION AO BRENTWOOD COULD CHARGEE WHATEVER THEY WANTED !!!!!!! GREAT;!!!!!!! THAT IS SO AGAINST THE LAW AND NOBODY WILL ERASE THE DAMN THING OFF MY RENTAL History REPORT BECAUSE I WAS A DAMN GOOD TENANT. I MADE OVER 7 GRAND A MINTH AND OAIDY.RENG.EVRY MONTH ON TIME. IS THIS FAIR. ???!!! I WAS MET WITH SORRY ALL THE WY AROUND BUT PLEASE PAY THE 3700. EVEN NOW !!? I CANNOT MOVE INTO AN APARTMENT BECAUSE OF THESE PEOPLE. I WAS GIVEN THEIR WORD AND THEY STEPPED ON IT. IF THEY KNEW THERE MAY BE CHARGES THEY SHOULD HAVE SAID NOTHING OF THE SORT TO ME .....BUT THEY DID. .AMD YEARS LATER THEY NEVER.CONTACTED ME.ONCE.BECAUSE I LEFT A FORWARDING ADDRESS AND THEY ALSO NEE MY PHONE NUMBER. .NOTHING. UNTIL 3 YEARS LATER ?? WHEN I ATUMBLE UPON A HELL NO WHEN I APPLY FOR A 500 DOLLAR A.MONTH ROOMATE. ...?? I HOPE THEY HAVE FIRED ALL THESE PEOPLE THAT WORDKED THEE IN 2012 AND 2013. THEY LAUGHED A LOT BUT COULD NOT.KEEP THEIR WORD AND GOOD PEOPLE SUFFER .

I love it here. I struggled with moving from a single family home to more of an apartment type setting, but Brentwood doesn't feel like an apartment complex. It feels like a community. The staff is always coming up with awesome activities for the residents, especially the kids. Great place to raise a family, if they have two legs or four!

I see there's some mixed reviews on here but I personally love living here. Our apartment was clean and bright and ready for us to move in and I thoroughly enjoy it. The grounds are nice to walk on in the warmer months and we take full advantage of the gym and basketball courts as well. Management has been responsive to anything I've reached out about. Our particular apartment has beautiful sunset views and I love the fact that we can have our pets here. Is it a little expensive? Sure, but so is everything nowadays and the amenities here are great. Also maintainence may be a little slow but it's a huge place and it's a small team of guys, they seem to be doing their best. Overall I'm satisfied and I enjoy Brentwood 😊

For an apartment complex that has more than 500 units with three different lanes of units I cannot express enough in words how unbelievable it is that they do not have a map at either entrance. As a delivery driver, I’ve only been to this complex three times or so and almost every time I’ve had to contact my customer for directions. This last delivery I just made at 2:45 AM on a Friday night happened to be 2 highly intoxicated individuals (shocker), one of which was a visitor who struggled immensely to give me directions to the unit. I spent well over 25 minutes driving in circles here, And just for frame of reference I have delivered to apartment complexes with less than 30 units that have a map. There is absolutely no excuse Brentwood, I would highly suggest investing maps for your complex If not, at least one map for your complex.

DO NOT RENT FROM BRENTWOOD you will be so so sorry & miserable. This place is a joke ran by Clowns & slum lords. The units are ran down & filthy & disgusting. Several several tenants gere are paying full rent for amenities they cannot use due to the lack of care from management & the maintenance team of jokers. It’s summer & people are going without AC units working. Its not an emergency so they just continue to not provide the things you are indeed paying to have. I cerbally requested my water heater to be taken care of to Amanda & Kaycee un which they told me they would get the notice to maintenance & 3 weeks goes by. No one shows up. My neighbor lets me know there's a maintenence portal to submit for maintenence. Then i had them show up unannounced & let themselves inside of jy house without me knowing who they were or that i should be expecting them. This wasn’t an emergency to them for three weeks as like I said we called several times and have a call log of all the phone calls made trying to get this taken care of and was just told they didn’t have maintenance and there was nothing they could do about it. But then show up unannounced and walk in my house where he’s lucky he didn’t get his head blown off as i was laying in bed talking to my dying mother. The situation escalated quickly & went very bad.
But was told it was an emergency so that have every right to just come in my house. If it was an emergency then it shouldve been taken cate of 3 weeks prior correct? Fact of the matter is Casey and Amanda never mentioned it to maintenance like they said they would, and this isn’t the only lack of knowledge of how to do their job correctly that I can complain about. Now I was told since I just turned it in on the maintenance app, I just found out about because Amanda is new and doesn’t know how to put anybody into a unit properly yet or fill them in on how things work and guess what? I was the first one she put into a unit and everything is completely Messed up. If you talk to her she sits while eating candy & smiles at you but theres no lights on inside. Kacee is just sweet as can be while he sits & lies in your face about your concerns. I saw my unit after the previous renters moved out. It was vile. Two upstairs bedroom carpet was completely 100% covered in dog diarrhea & urine crusted in a solid sheet. The kitchen was full of trash & maggots. There was many gallons of paint from the top stairs clear to the front door. It was like a scene of Hoarders. A health hazard & unsafe for people to be subjected to that. Kaycee assured us the sub floors would be replaced & sealed & new carpet & vinyl would be put in. Which new carpet & vinyl was put in. But now I’m living in a home that constantly smells like dog poop & animal piss & maggots. Its a mix of lane county dump & greenhill. I have been so sick with headaches & sinus colds since I moved in. This place is unsafe & an absolute health hazard to be in.
My backyard is so full of dog poop & I don’t own a dog! I have 4 unsecure holes in my fence where the last tenants dog chewed himself through to other tenants yards. I can’t even use my backyard due to the poop & random aggressive dogs coming into my yard from peoples property behind me & trying to kill my cat or bite my grandkids. I am paying for a yard & cannot use it. It barely has dirt in it. The trees roots are showing that’s how little dirt there is on the ground & poop everywhere.
2nd bedroom balcony is unusable upstairs because it has a tree hanging over it that we had to cut & haul away all the branches. Because these slum lords didn’t see an issue with it not being useable for my family. But I’m paying to have it right? I no longer can receive packages at my place as the hood rat kids & tweaks around here have stolen all my packages & I have them on camera doing it & filed police reports. This place is disgusting & if you like living with

Rent is way too expensive if you don't have government help forget it
tight corders, floor design is impractical with a three bedroom you have two upstairs with kitchen and living room ,full bathroom. Downstairs is master bedroom w bathroom and garage, and laundry on ground floor

Our unit was definitely not ready for us to move into. Staff is friendly and has fixed everything we've asked them to, but we shouldn't have had to ask.. these things should have already been done. I'm not talking about 2 or 3 things, it's been at least a dozen things. Unit was extremely dirty and unpacking took forever because we had to clean as we go. Whoever got this unit "ready" for us should really consider a new job. Spider webs painted over, nothing is hung straight, everything was just halfway done. Cheapest blinds, cheapest appliances, and cheapest fixtures possible. This is our home, where we spend all of our time away from work and renting is expensive. It should have been done right before we even moved in. The office offered to send out cleaners again but we didn't want to delay our move in process any further or unpack and then have to move everything for the cleaners and then put it back in. Overall we're extremely disappointed and questioning why we even moved here in the first place. Parking is annoying as it's extremely difficult to get my car in and out of my garage because the neighbors park in the roadway behind my car, not considering I have to try to get out. The neighborhood kids run wild around here with no supervision and constantly disturb us by being noisy and playing right outside our unit, they've thrown rocks at (and dented) our front door, and have thrown a bunch of crap into our small backyard (Which was a disaster when we moved in and we've put a lot of work into getting it to look nice, so it just feels extra disrespectful)
We also had a carpet beetle situation that was really annoying to get taken care of. Maintenance told me pest control would come in the afternoon so I took off from work 3 hours early only to find that they came in the morning and maintenence let them in. Would've been nice to have communicated that so i didnt have to miss hours at work and I wanted to be home so I could keep an eye on my cat, who got locked in the bedroom until I got home to let him out.. and they left my lights on. Its just been one thing after the next here and I'm the type of person who feels bad each time I have to call the office for something. The only pros I can think of for this place is that it's in a nice location and the floorplan is nice. Our bedroom doesn't connect to anyone else's unit and I don't hear my neighbors too often in the rooms that do have connecting walls.

Floors were not sealed properly and when brought up to maintenance they said yea a lot were like that. Gaps under the doors and gaps in a/c unit. Patchy walls. Very cheap blinds. Parking is terrible. Kids and homeless people in the trash cans. Speed limits not followed at all. When brought to the attention an email sent out not doing anything. Rent constantly different due to different fees and community fees. Way too expensive. Walls are very thin can hear everything your neighbor does. Would not recommend.
