We have been going to Q street vet for 8 years. They are truly the best. Today I had to bring my cat in and didn't have a lot of money. I really appreciate all they do. The staff and Doctors all caring and compassionate. Thank you.

Their veterinarians provide the best care, and I would never go anywhere else especially an emergency hospital!

We have used Q Street on numerous occasions since arriving here in 2009. Five different animals have been involved and, with each visit, we experienced highly professional and clearly caring and concerned service. I never hesitate to recommend Q Street to anyone and everyone.

I believe they need to rename their business. They are not a hospital. Hospitals are generally for emergencies. We tried to go there for an emergency with our dog; we were sent across to emergency pet hospital. Thank goodness they were close by. Not happy that their sign made me believe I was in the right place. Never again for anything.

terrible place! left a thermometer in my dogs rectum after a DENTAL appointment, and put my cat under which he died AFTER we declined anesthesia

I received a new puppy in June 2021.I did not shop around or read reviews regarding other vets in the area. I did not do my due diligence. My experience with this Vet is that they are ALL about gouging you with really exorbitant prices and costs. The environment does not seem to convey love and care, the staff are abrupt and bordering on the rude/dismissive attitude(s). My puppy was spade there and the costs were ridiculous. Even more than what they originally said it was going to be. Recently my elderly siamese cat got an eye infection. The cost was $85 for a "exam. "I also purchased flea medicine and the total cost was over $180.Today, they contacted me to let me know that if my cats eye is still infected they would need to charge another exam cost for a "modified checkup." Its the same issue, same cat and he was just seen. No body cares about the animals only the cash. Please don't do what I did, research, read the reviews, do your due diligence. There are a lot of unethical businesses' out there. Please take your family members/pets to a place they are cared for and loved.

Compashion? No! Affordable? Absolutely not, they are rude and how much money they can get out of you is all they care about! This is not my opinion on just one visit either, it is that way always. It took just that one visit and i will never take my animals to them after what i experienced. I am not poor, I am not someone that looks like i live on the streets and looking for a hand out but if you are not willing to pay the big bucks for what ever they can talk you into ( like a car sale's man ) their attitude sure changes. I have been there on several occasions with friends and family and it's the same. I even had to go there to pay a fee of $1200 for a friend before they would even begin emergency care, the dog was sliced open from one end to the other down to the ribs, she was losing a lot of blood but all they cared about was the money. Once I got there the fee went from $1200 to $1400 but they tried for $1700. Their place of business makes me sick and everyone i know that has had to go there agrees 100%. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. If you can find somewhere els that would be your best bet. The Female Dr. I spoke with, she thinks she knows everything but she was wrong, very wrong and it almost cost me my dogs life. I tried to disagree with what she thought was wrong but she wouldn't even let me finish telling her what I knew, I was right, she was not and SHE IS LUCKY I SAVED MY DOGS LIFE!!!!!!!!

It's been over a month and the hospital was suppose to send me my deceased moms last dog set of paw prints. I called two weeks ago and the lady said everything was sent out. So after paying three hundred dollars I have nothing left to remind me of my moms favorite dog. I'm completely devastated. I tried calling and never got a real response. I'm heartbroken.

We feel so lucky to have found such a caring, gentle vet clinic. We live in Eugene, but drive our pets out to Q Street, because it's the best!

I use to take all of my dogs here and thought they were great. Prices were reasonable and it got the job done. Then my lab got a growth on his snout that grew very fast. We called to setup an appointment and based on conversation I had thought they be doing a biopsy. Came to the appointment and they looked him over and said it was more than likely cancerous and based on location he should be put down. They wanted to do a biopsy to be sure and I sad yes that's why I am here. They no this was the appointment to setup the biopsy and they wanted to get me a quote fir it. It was over $600. I was upset because they kept pushing that we should just put him down. I left with my dog and it him to a different vet (Eugene Animal Hospital). They did a needle biopsy and that with the visit was under $100. Dr. Jodi said it was cancerous but most of it was swelling. She gave us some meds and within a few days it was almost back to normal. She said eventually it will grow too much that we will have to put him down. He got about another year of quality living before it started to cause issues.

My personal experience with this vet was not a great one. A couple of weeks ago our four year old pup showed symptoms of a bladder infection, and also suddenly started severely limping on his back leg. This was our first time at this vet, and they diagnosed him with a bladder infection through a urine sample test and thought the limp was something that would maybe go away with some anti-inflammatory medicine and rest. Several days later the bladder issues seemed better, but the limp did not. We took him back and the vet took X-rays and thought the limp was due to possible hip dysplasia, gave us more anti-inflammatories, and started talking to us about hip replacement surgery options. He suggested we see how he responds to the new meds, and revisit it again depending on how things went. The next day, our dog seemed incredibly worse. The limp was worse, and it seemed his other legs were now being affected. I called the vet to check in, and he basically said "poor guy, yeah, it's hard they can't talk to us to tell us what's wrong" and talked to me more about hip replacement options. He also suggested we see how he does over the weekend and check back in the following week to do a blood test because he hadn't done one yet and that could show if there something else going on. The next 24-48 hours, our dog was the worst he had been. He wasn't getting up, he wasn't eating, and he was having slight bloody noses. On Saturday, I called the vet again to check if this is something we still want to sit on over the weekend, or if we should take him in immediately to be seen. I didn't get an answer, so I left a message. I then realized because it was the Saturday before the Labor Day holiday and they were closed. My husband and I decided to take our dog to the emergency vet, where they did blood work and determined he had full edema in his body which was why he was unable to walk, was having a hard time breathing, and was anemic from internal bleeding. His body was attacking itself from a severe bacterial infection diagnosed by a blood test. The options to try and treat him were likely not going to be effective, and actually the medicine required to treat him likely would react poorly with one of the anti-inflammatory meds he was on. Because he was so sick with three very concerning symptoms, he was likely not going to make it and we had to make the decision to put him down. I am shocked this happened. I am not sure why a blood test did not happen sooner with this vet. I am not sure it would have made the difference in our dog being alive today, but perhaps would could have given him the relief he needed sooner, before he got as horribly sick as he was. I am shocked that we paid approx. $500 for a misdiagnosis and medicine that wasn't effective. I am shocked that hip surgeries costing upwards of $8,000 were discussed prior to even doing a blood test, and that the vet seemed so relaxed about how not-well our dog obviously was. I am shocked that nobody at this vet has returned my message from the weekend to check to see how he is doing. Just an apparent lack of concern and care for my pet apparently. I understand that animals can't talk, and so vets can only go off of diagnostic test- but this vet missed doing what I feel is a very basic test that can give them more to go off of. If I could go back I wish I would have insisted they do one during the first appointment- but I trusted the professional. Now we pay the price by losing our dog who was only four years old. I will never take any of my pets to this vet, and though others have had great experiences, I would be cautious to take yours as well.

I would like to delete my prior review, I have since learned that the rx dose for alprazolam rx for my cat is reasonable and would not have harmed her.

Horrible experience every time. Staff seems clueless, have yet to meet a doctor that really seems like they know what they're doing here either. Been here four times now and every single time has been a horrible experience. Don't know how these guys are in business, clearly it's because there's absolutely no other option around here and people are desperate, myself included. Currently in the waiting room and have been here for 40 mins waiting to DISCHARGE after waiting TWO AND A HALF HOURS to even be seen. Don't go here if you have any other choice, for your pets sake and your own.
